Eek!
- the bottom one too…
Yes have adjusted back to align properly! you don’t need glasses!
I wonder if you have a sauna too. Great to have his own listening room and being able to do some sport inside. Specially during self isolation.
No we don’t, it was a minor consideration when we originally put the cabin up, but it was to be a multi function space.
Our youngest daughter was seriously into her dance, hence the mirrors and why we had the wooden floor put in.
My work has always involved travel and long hours and I’ve never been one for a commercial gym so always had my own gear, the cabin just meant I could expand the equipment.
Had been particularly fortuitous as my wife did go to gyms and and when you could see how serious lockdown was going to be managed to get a squat rig out there before all the equipment dried up.
But yes, since a kid have always combined music with the weights etc, so it has been a real oasis of sanity.
When the weather gets better it’s awesome to open the doors up and the sound just fills the garden.
Great house and room. You are lucky. But a sauna would be a nice cherry on the cake.
I am used to go 3 or 4 times a week at my sauna place. Closed since 6 months now. I miss it a lot.
The dreams of your ancestors have been fulfilled.
RD40! Sold mine in 1985 to go travelling. Happy days
Hi Billy, I changed it now for a RP3, it was starting having problems… it had still a good value at my dealer.
I saw Glasgow Rangers in summer ‘76 during a holiday in Scotland with friends!
Have a nice time
And today has been one of those days, the Rega Apollo CDP and Musical Fidelity Mx-Dac via the Densen’s and through the Guru’s sounds particular special today.
Beautiful day, great music, fire pit and some decent Bordeaux wine, what isn’t to like. (Obviously ignoring the general situation we are all having to deal with).
Very nice minimalistic system!
What about the speakers?
Thanks Mike, may give it a whirl.
May I ask how you have set up your Nova? Nova + Kanta only? Also, how do you find the bass - I ask because I demo’d this combo on a system (that had not been run in properly but in a proper audition room) and the bass was quite far off being tight.
Thanks, speakers are Neat Motive SX3 and Velodyne EQ-Max 8 sub.
Hi James,
My Nova is set up to drive the Kitchen Iotas and summer room xplorers only. The kantas are driven by the main system 552/555ps. The bass therefore sounds great as you would expect!
Gotcha, yep I’m sure they are great!
Every day I drink only one glass of whiskey to maintain my health…although I would like to drink more…i`m not young anymore
My Classic system residing in a new Solid Sounds custom rack with LED backlighting.
The addition of a Superline/Supercap did the upgrade on my LP12 justice - vinyl source is certainly now king!
Speakers come out into the room for proper listening sessions.
Nice! I love Solid-sounds stuff. I love my rack. Yours looks superb!
