Very cool looking Akai deck. I’ve never seen one like that before. Does it perform well?

It’s not staying like this
I was choosing a deck for the Easter holidays for my country village system.

I don’t know yet. A maintenance is about to be done. Several years was stored in my garage. There is a strange noise and the tape speed is slow. But has a look at least

Could you offer some clarification please? I don’t understand it.

As per @Rafael ’s posted image. Piet Mondrian was an artist who specialised in such images. Much copied to this day. Your arrangement of hifi components above reminded me of these images.

I use a red Collaro matt on my P10. It sounds great.

…I am interested in what ways it sounds better…

I use to have nDAC and HCap standing on a side next to a full rack. They looked pretty cool in fact with no deterioration, but no improvement either, of SQ.

Thank you!
I’m not familiar with him.

I don’t think it does sound “better” than the standard Rega matt. I just think it’s slightly better quality (as it should be for £99) and it looks quite cool too!

It looks as if it comes from some sort of rack system with matching components ???

But is cool, certain Japanese equipment looks better today than when it was made ( i for one, still find Technics gear really desirable )

Hi,
How do you rate your P10 against the P9?
Was it worth the upgrade?
MArco :cowboy_hat_face:

Hi
It was a big improvement.
More clarity, more pace and rhythm.
The P9 is more beautiful to look at though!

It was worth trying a new room but the reality is that the living room suits us better.

So reinstalled and up and running.

Do I spot an old bit of Pioneer cassetry? I have the rest of the stack (amp/tuner/cdplayer) from eons back doing sterling duty in my daughter’s system.
