Don’t get rid of that spare shelf, you’ll need it when your system gets the 300 it deserves
(You might need to sell a couple of paintings.)
What you need is a good headphone amp with streaming capability .
Anybody got any good ideas about one ?
No I’m muting all the hi fi threads and I think Mrs Pete may have rang my dealer and had me banned from his store.
And at least you have a spare shelf to accommodate a 300!
Apparently Focal are discounting there’s.
The penny has only now just dropped. @Pete_the_painter = Pete the painter
Oh I feel dim (more than usual) now.
I do houses though if the moneys right
The irony is that he’s called Dave!
(Not really.)
Great looking system Pete, bet it sounds as good as it looks!
Andy
Looking good @Pete_the_painter 6 tier fraim and 5 tier fraim for comparison.
If it was my choice I would go 2 x 3 fraims - if your speaker cables reach and space allows.
and before your earlier 3 tier fraim set up picture - my version with other artwork…
I made a mistake when I originally ordered my SL speaker cables and don’t have enough to run 2 stacks (ordered 3m instead of 4). I’m happy with 5, 6 looked odd.
Love your photoshopping. It makes me think hard before I post a photo.
Wine bottle holders? Clearly those are headphone jacks
You put your 1 year old grand twins in cardboard boxes! Well, it is one way of sorting things out.
BTW, I have 17 month old identical grand twin boys. Such a joy!
Cool Pete. Let us have your impressions.
Thanks will do.
I have 6 Frames but, like @Pete_the_painter, only need 5. I have a free level between my PS555DR and my ND555, with the 552 head unit on top.
The 5 standard levels and base are very stable and I recon there is real benefit in having a gap between the big 'ole power supply and the streamer. I can’t have separate brawn and brains stacks because the best speaker positions will only allow brawn and brains stacks between the speakers due to lack of space to the side, and speaker cables (3m SuperLuminas) that wouldn’t stretch with that arrangement.
Fab artwork,@petethepainter are they all your own work. I see the Constable, Van Gough, Turner? and Roger Dean…all look brilliant.
After many happy years with my CDS3 and old supports I have finally updated the system. Very happy. A big thank you to Paul at Billy Vee who had an interesting day getting it to sound this lovely.
