Looks great @stuart.ashen. Look forward too your thoughts on the improvements.
Cheers! Just listening to John Mayer Live in LA. Very natural and expressive. It doesnāt sound digital at all. Early days but lovely so far.
Looks like youāll be playing and burning the Midnight Oil with your new setup.
Enjoy.
Love the artwork, had a look at yr website, some ābeautiesāā¦
We were introduced to Aussie artwork some years back when we had an extended family holiday over there. Whilst there we visited my Wifeās (also a āpainterā) Uncle Lou (Klepac), who was/is very much into Aussie artworkā¦
Your rack looks nice, Stuart (if youāll pardon the phrase).
Iām guessing itās a Quadraspire Custom build?
Not custom as such BigAl. The website allows you to build a rack using building blocks. You choose the width, height of spacers etc and simply order it. They do custom build but this is a basic modular one. Fraim is just too wide and deep for my little space.
Iāve just had a look at their site. Iām not going to be replacing my Mana racks, but the black shelves with black uprights you have chosen looks very classy.
Fraim is just too wide, as you say. I like the Simon Price Fraim lookey somewhat likey, but it is not worth me investing in a snazzy looking rack in a room that only has space for meā¦
Very nice pcd. Quite similar to mine but you have an extra shelf for isolation presumably.
The extra shelf is supposed help with rigidity and isolation.
Quadraspire is manufactured just up the road from me so a local company.
Interesting. I might have a chat with my man about it. Shelves are quite expensive though and I already have an empty shelf to keep transformers away from the brains.
Where did you get the glass from? Iāve got a fraim lite & fancy doing the same
Good looking table!
Friend I drink with has a glass business, 10mm toughen and itās pretty close in spec to the Naim glass they use on the stuff.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but for audio purposes are all 10mm toughened glass products equal. I would think so, but Iām sure someone will correct me if Iām wrong.
Naim use Pilkington glass, hereās Richard describing why. (I bought 10mm Pilkington at Fraim shelf size and have it on Naim cup and balls under my streamer.)
Cheers Mulberry, I like it too!
Starting to grow more fond of the oak plinth every time I see it in a set up. Nice finish, well kept and clean set upš
Scott
I think you can just about get away with it when theyāre angled into the corner of a room. Always thought the basic triangle shape of the Fraim was a nice idea in that way.
That probably would have worked but unfortunately I donāt have enough speaker cable. 5 seems to be ok, plus removing (the 6th level) the Unitserve and other stuff itās tidy it up.
