An amazing room. What a stunning picture on your wall. Do you have some more details about?

Hi @Cledi13

To me it was absolutely worth it, even with the Atom already connected to a dedicated audio power socket. I picked it up from my dealer to try and I was not convinced that it would stay, given the relatively high cost compared to the price of the Atom. I must say that I got a good deal on the Niagara but it makes the Atom shine: more dynamic, more quiet, more detail, more of everything. With all sources, the Atom and the power amplifier plugged in to the Niagara, it makes a noticeable difference. I am still very happy with it.

My first 2021 pics… New in 2020 a Vertere motor drive psu and cables, 300dr and fraim support. All sounding absolutely awesome! Next I’ve just asked my dealer if I can try a Vertere redline power cable for the motor drive.

@Petersfi- looks great and I love the bass traps :+1:

Same electronics as last year, but I slightly rearranged the system, so the speakers and the racks are placed on different floor boards.
The improvement in sound is bigger than expected.
Took the opportunity to tidy up the cable mess behind the rack, as good as I could.

Great system !

Don’t worry about the cables mess. I have the same. It’s difficult to tidy when the vertical separation between the levels is not very large as with your system. You really can’t do much better.

I recently fired up my early 1990s Ion Obelisk 3X and X-pak 2 through a pair of B&W 685 and was astonished at how good they sounded. They sound 4/5ths as good as our main system for 1/10th the price.

I cannot see a cable mess. It is just real world connection work.
What I am seeing is: Excellent devices in a beautiful listening room … Have fun!

Or another way of looking at it, my 2002 Nap 250 has outputs which are the other way round from my friend’s 2020 NAP 250. What are Naim doing?

Not sure I’d ever get any, but there are some systems where white speakers just look great, like above.

Beautiful Isfahan, on the floor, David

Indeed it is. I used to have a collection of Ion amps; Obelisk 1, Obelisk 2, Obelisk 3, Obelisk 3x + X-Pak, FMT1. The Obelisk 1 was the only slight disappointment; it was fine enough for the money, but the 2 was a LOT better. The 3 was not a huge amount better than the 2, so I reckon the 2 was a sweet spot. However, the Obelisk 3x + X Pak was a big step up from the 3 and is still a very impressive performer by any standard. These days I only have the 3x + X-pak and the FMT1 tuner.

With a new NDX2 into 2021 :grinning:
… by the way, signal ground switch should be on “default” position?
