I don’t want to lose my FM tuner, and nor do I want the rack to be higher. The solution is a Nat 02 instead of the 05, with the Neo sharing the shelf. Next week hopefully.
…the drinks on the top shelf look to be difficult to reach.
Not at all, I throw my 8yr old up there to kick them down to me.
nice system, I’m also looking for jadis tube amp for my amati, not sure which model will a great match.
@james_n suggestion of Shahinian speakers actually makes sense in a number of ways. Their polydirectional design makes them particularly tolerant of odd room layouts. They don’t have spikes, so you can just push them out of the way when you need to. The larger models even have castors!
It is crying out for an LP12 with a Simon Price plinth .
Other TTs are available
Hi thought I would share details of my set up as it currently stands
NDX2/SN3 is relatively new and still running in- have a rack on the floor of the media room to be built in the next couple of days. Speakers are on loan from my dealer - as we are in lockdown at present so no chance to home demo any others yet.
Now that’s a beautiful room.
I searched it , listened this song for days since I saw this picture
a great piece
Hey, here you are Mahler !
nice to see you here
I walked into my local dealership a couple of year ago and they had an Atom feeding some Shahinian Hawks, not a combination you’d expect to work but it sounded rather nice, though the bass wasn’t quite right and they didn’t turn the volume up very far. You wouldn’t put an Atom on Obelisks but maybe the compass would be worth exploring.
Welcome to the forum
That’s a nice and well thought out room. Love that all the lines (blinds, furniture doors, doors) have been kept horizontal. Nice system too!
Shocking. The Fish has abandoned NAIM for the cult of The Isoblue.
(Creepy voice) “He’s one of us, now…”
…possibly illegal in the UK…
My wife takes the credit for the decor - I just secured the equipment- thanks for your comment
The current Shahinians are supposed to be a much easier load than the older models, although I would have thought the Hawks might be too much for an Atom. I might try my Atom with my Arc 2s just for the hell of it!
Great pic, and an awesome piece of gear.
Interim position…continued…
Home demo Linn DSM/3 Organik installed this afternoon…after an initial listening period also swapped out the KS-1 speaker cables for WH Phantom speaker cables…
So far, IMHO the sound is very, very, good, very detailed, plenty of rhythm, immersive…well impressed!
and in the flesh it looks pretty damn good and a quality piece of kit (subjective comment).
The WH cable change brought the anticipated ‘oomph’ increase on the bottom end, too early to tell yet if the sound has lost some of the ‘delicacy’ that the KS-1’s gave…
