System Pics 2021

Thanks for the info. I’ll take a look on their website if they have one! Although a mutual friend of ours (see another input) tells me it’s for giving away lol!

By that you mean expensive?

What’s the war of the worlds thing there?

I picked up a naim sub, and now feel I should turn the music room into a cinema room. I just need to find a way to integrate a centre speaker… maybe a big tv is the way to go instead of a screen, I like that idea of using the tv’s speaker as the centre.

Your pictures should not get lost, I’m in need of a dose DBL.

:joy::smiling_face_with_three_hearts: having trouble to upload that pic …:see_no_evil:

How are the Audiovector wall mounts? I was considering them as an option for all but the centre channel in a 7.1 AV system since I am trying to shortlist the best all wall mount AV speakers I can find within a reasonable budget.

I had a Dali centre speaker. When I changed all my system earlier this year, I thought I’d give the Sony Centre Speaker thing a go. I was sceptical but it is very very good, and means one less speaker box. I would recommend it.

I think the easiest way into expanding your hifi system into a home cinema would be to get an AV receiver with pre-outs. Preserve your hifi amp from the main front two speakers. Use the AV amp to drive a centre channel, and surrounds if you wish. 5.1 covers most bases in terms of available material. I’ve got Atmos speakers but there still isn’t too much Atmos material around yet. Good luck Robbo!

Sorry for the late reply, the past day or so I’ve disappeared into inky blackness.

The postitive MScaler / DAVE reviews online don’t even come close in describing how this combo sounds, I’m totally blown away.

When I shared this with my wife, the reply was , “Not as expensive as that Super Lumina interconnect you bought” . That’s me told.

It’s a bio-ethanol room heater - very good!

Lovely room and obviously a fellow Rush fan!

I really like the Audiovector range. I chose them because of the front pair and the option for AV was sesondary - I couldn’t even get a demo of the rears. But, as a dealer once said to me, " The sound of a helecopter is a helecopter, do you need it to do any more?" They work well as surrounds, but I wouldn’t like to have them on front L&R duties, even for AV.

Thank you and indeed so - first saw them on the Kings tour. I can’t listen to ‘The Garden’ without missing ‘The Professor’ - RIP

Yes, Neil was one of my favourite drummers. Very sad. I confess only liking the first half of their career but great band, and really great live.

Yes, but some things are essential, and necessary, either way you have a very nice looking room there, clearly made all the better by having the SL connector in place, a further touch of class!

You can use a speaker switch and amp switch. Beresford TC 7220 MK11. I have my Naim 2 x 135 amps and AV amp connected up via speaker cables. I can switch from one amp to the other and from one room to the other as I have speakers in another room also. So it connects my 2 x 135s and AV amp to two sets of speakers with no issues. Lots of speaker cable but is brilliant.

No loss of sound quality IMHO. Works superbly.

Are you thinking of changing your SF’s? I really want to audition SF Olympica 1 & 2 against 505 and 606 but I can’t find a dealer that carries both.

Slippers that size could be considered a room treatment :joy:
