Switched over to my 2a3 amp glowing nicely and sounding lovely with my new speaker cables, they benefit just as much as my XS2 it seems.
Nice to have a choice of these two fine amps.

Yes.
Quick storyâŚ
At the time, I went into my local dealer thinking FC and this was demonstrated. Whilst a FC offered a small but noticeable improvement in SQ, I didnât really feel it offered âvalue for moneyâ. By chance, the dealer had a pre-loved HC2 and quickly swopped that in. Well, I was immediately impressed and the HC2 came home with meâŚ
(Note : At the time, this pre-loved HC2 was about the same cost of a new FC. So, it was also an easy decision on economic terms).
Hope that helps?
Good luck

Quick favour please James. Can you give me the measurements of your fire place? Just about to splash the cash.
Thanksđ
Many thanks. I was contemplating upgrading the nDAC with a power supply but the available options are beyond my budget. Thatâs why I was wondering if an upgrade of the XS 2 might be an alternative option. Thanks again.
Great looking minimalist setup and limited colour palette. Designer level stuff!
Iâm in the same boatâŚ
An upgrade to the nDAC might be at least an XPS DR or maybe XPS 2
Even looking at pre-loved prices, this might be a stretch right now, as we have just moved home.
I would love to add a PSU to my nDAC
Also migrate from HC2 to HCDR for the XS2. (Thatâs if I donât do SN3 first)âŚ
All plans for the future
This time hold on to them, even if itâs only in their boxes after you grow restless again. Youâll keep coming back.
Well,
Itâs about time to do the move
Donât bother to those p.sâŚ
Aim to 555p.s not dr, you will be surprised.
@ditton66 Fascinating comment - canât resist asking - please can you explain?
(I see from your profile, youâre using an XPS2 with your nDAC)
There you go⌠One HiCap2
It was just on the next shelf down.
Apologies in advance. Our records havenât made it out of the moving boxes yet. Hence empty storage rack, all looks a bit empty, etcâŚ
Minimalist.
Nice ES14 in shot. Always loved that âspeaker.

Thanks! As we say here, lâocchio vuole la sua parte.
Hi Max
Good to hear you are back with n-Sats, it was a pleasure to meet you both when you collected your 5th pair from CH.
(Of the various Naim speakers I have had, I think I miss the n-Sats the mostâŚlove those stands.)
Enjoy.
I forget sometimes just how many systems you have
Lol.
It never used to be this way but since going down the upgrade path Iâve been trying various combinations and amassed a few spares.
I will sell the spares sometime but the dreaded B word has made it harder to shift stuff across the channel. Meanwhile I can play.
(If I am very careful Mrs Bruss wonât notice that the spares with the highest spec, and price, havenât been sold and I may end up with a second system in the study slightly better than Iâd planned)
