Very nice
Simplicity itself.
Nice, is the Hicap powering the SN3 or the Stageline?
Thank you.
SN3
Ah! I see you’ve met my wife!!
System now up and running in my new home – the new home that became necessary when the (steadily increasing) number of Naim boxes outgrew their previous location…
I’ve heard great things about Naim customer service, so I’ve emailed them to see if they’d like to contribute to the additional costs incurred
Nice racks - can you show a front view, and tell more about them?
cool system- congrats! are you happy with the Stillpoints? I heard good things but the price…
Very humble
I think I’d end up a bachelor if I had speakers like that in our front room!
Amazing room!
thanks! If I am honest I would not spend the money again on the stillpoints. I actually prefer the Iso accoustics feet. (I have them under my speakers but have also used then under power amps and the Bardo.) I notice very little difference with the stilpoints vs without (maybe a slightly brighter presentation) and think I prefer the sound without. I keep putting them back to try to convince myself they are worth it and then removing them again!
Just yer standard-issue black-ash Simraks, Doc, with Fraim balls / cups replacing the supplied Simrak cones for a slight SQ uplift.
6 x Herbie’s ‘Fat Grounding bases’ under the racks.
What improvements did u get with the Uptone power supply added to the Ether regen?
David
Many thanks Dan- I certainly get an enormous amount of pleasure listening to it
The JS-2 PS added more of what the ER already brought to the table: a more ‘analogue-sounding’ presentation overall – or put another way, a reduction in digital harshness, at least to my ears, via a N272 & NDS.
I always think it’s a bit strange when the outer plinth is removed as it sort of looks unfinished. Can’t fault the sound tho’.
I suspect you are thinking of the RP10. The Planar 10 has no outer plinth, and the main plinth is much smaller.
After long consideration, the many positive Rega comments here and a Test listening at my home, I took the step.
I am pleased to have become a member of the Rega family today and i am convinced that I will have a lot of fun with it.
Attached is my new Rega Planar 8 with Ania Pro and the new PSU MK2
