Excalibur? It’ll be ear piercing.
Did you mean £300,000 pounds each or as you stated £3000 each
1360 kg perhaps?
Maybe…
1500 kg each
The A20 made a huge difference, loving listening through it.
You’ve got to stop watching all this hifi-porn FR ATB Peter
Are they a single, complex speaker each side, or two matched pairs?
3 tons — blimey. In UK with suspended floor, does one need a structural engineer’s calculations before installation?!
P.S. I am actually semi-serious. A friend needed to “clear” his university office when he went on leave to Japan for a few years. He put his books into the loft at home. The house started moving if not sliding; and in the end the house needed to be underpinned using massive concrete columns. I doubt he put 3 tons of books into his loft…
To me, there is something rather wonderful about the design of Rega’s Planar 10. The soft white of the ceramic platter and brace, the simplicity of the polished aluminium arm, the skeletal plinth, the sheer tinyness of the thing. It’s radical but in a quiet way, and it sounds absolutely lovely.
It’s the same speaker, but indeed looks like 2 speakers next to each.
The reviewer said it was the best system he has heard in his life. I don’t know if he is sincere but his own system is already very impressive.
The system was: Dohmann Helix, Schroeder CB, Lyra Atlas, Berning top electronics and EMM Labs X 2 digital source.
And there’s no acoustics treatment in that gigantic room. The system was a personal system that the reviewer could listened too and advised in the installation.
But back to system pics, before complaints
Looks great. I think you maybe want to use some power supplies. But really cool and useful setup.
Quite extraordinary. I would just love to hear what they can do, but I’d be terrified that I could never accept ‘ordinary’ again. Plus, my wife would divorce me - I’m not sure the ‘look but don’t touch’ rule would apply here
Completely agree with your assessment of the P10.
The only design element that lacks grace, in my opinion, is the cover. But I’ve never used mine, so its out of sight and out of mind.
OK. The list price of the Acapella Sphaeron Excalibur is $950,000. This is completely outside my horizon…
Nice picture! Really. You don’t used a phone this time, did you?
Not sure she would divorce. Such rooms exist only in castels. So I presume there are other big rooms inside, and probably a jacuzzi, hot water swimming pool….etc. And a 100 m2 room for her shoes.
Thank you, that’s very kind. It was taken with my iPhone 12.
