When my 52/Supercap/135 system was away being serviced I borrowed a Superuniti (I think). It was surprising just how good the sound was. I certainly didn’t spend my time regretting what wasn’t there.
Either that’s a bare NDX2 (sacrilege…or maybe not given recent events) or ‘just’ a 250DR driving those Maestros (also sacrilege). What’s the world coming to?!
NB. I’m assuming one box is a SCDR to power the pre (presumably a 252?)
No grey either, what’s the world coming to.
Maybe the IsoAcoustics footers negate the need for all those superfluous black boxes.
Close but no cigar.
Maestro Utopia Evo hi-fi floorstanding loudspeakers combined with the NAP 300 DR power amplifier, the NDX 2 network player, the NAC 252preamplifier and the SuperCap power supply.
Nice set up, is it Thorens TT ?
Best wishes
Ian
Does that count as stacked Utopias?
Isoacoustics on a Fraim? Heresy!
No idea, I’m just the messenger rooster, but both Naim and Focal must have approved it, so maybe you should give it a try? For my own part, I think it could work great on a FraimLite…
Not sure if approval is required to simply use their kit. I’m assuming this isn’t the Naim/Focal stand BTW, as I don’t see any of their branding.
Looks like Iso Acoustics demoing speakers with and without Gaias.
Of course Isoacoustics does not use its products together with Naim and Focal without their approval, it goes without saying.
Yes, that’s right, and the difference was apparently significant, according to visitors who were present.
Really? Nothing to do with targeting a market of well heeled multiple box tweakers, then
I believe in it , was just joking as so many believe a Fraim is the pinnacle.
Another bare NDX2 in a public performance. A shortage of PSUs maybe?
I am telling you, it can sing without it…
