Simplifying a system is something many of us having reached masses of black boxes do .

Yours is a particularly fine example of how to do that

May I ask what make it is?

Maybe a little off topic, but while I’m down on the couch spending time burning my ending covid with my iPad with my good old tiny Klipsch Image X10i listening at Sweet Jane from Cowboy Junkies, I’m here wandering how the song I’m listening could sound on these beautiful Twenty5.23s and it reminded me of this nice TED Talk from Evelyn Glennie (deaf). Title is « How to truly listen ».
Cool one if you some spare time.
To loop back to my introduction context, I guess this is why I’m never fully happy with headphones compared to speakers. I’m missing the rest of my body to listen.

Thanks for all the positive comments.

To reply to @Naim_The_Dragon; its a bespoke cabinet made by Nick James Design. I needed something to fit in the alcove which is an odd size and it’s based on merging two of his existing cabinet designs from his website. I have no affiliation to the company - he’s just a highly skilled furniture designer who is local to me and who happens to be a thoroughly decent guy. I had to wait almost 9 months from initially agreeing the design concept with him but it was worth the wait. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I love that he has quarter sawn the oak and made a feature of the medullary rays on the sliding doors which will only be enhanced as the wood ages.

I am in a minority on here in that I’m not such a fan of hifi racks displaying loads of boxes, hence wanting to use a more conventional piece of furniture.

I think I heard the same sentiment about Vinyl

Hi MROX
Thanks for your kind comments and the link which I enjoyed very much. I love the listening space and PMC speakers which allow me to lose myself in the music.
All the very best

My first Nak was a BX100, I had an LX-5, my last was a CR-7a Good old days, Vinyl and Tape

Close up study of CD5 XS + nDAC combo’.
A wonderfully musical combination, works really well with streamers as well.
Also, to my eye, looks lovely too.

That’s a lovely setup in a beautiful room, very nicely done. I’m assuming you use system automation, meaning you don’t need a light of sight for the SN3 remote.

Hi @anon4489532
Yes, Correct.
Mind since installing the LP12 on the TP Vulkan shelf I’ve been up and down like a fiddlers elbow putting on and taking off vinyl which is keeping me on my toes. It’s lovely getting back into playing records again - 22 minutes just seem to zip by.

I chuckled reading your post because having recently reacquainted myself with vinyl, I have been reminded of both the beauty and the shortcomings of vinyl replay. But glad to have it back as an option.

Dream system right there… still miss my Beogram 4002

What an elegant room. Understated but attractive.

Yes, not surprised you miss it, it’s a lovely deck.

I also have a Beogram 8002, which is similarly excellent. That one has a better cartridge, an MMC 2, than the 4002’s MMC 4000. I am thinking of upgrading the latter.
