Love a bit o’ Accuphase. Is that a bed? Some unexpecpted living arrangement? Stylish room.
Our main bedroom system: Arcam Solo Movie 2.1 MK1 with lovely little Piega TS3 speakers. IMO a really nice sounding set-up. Streaming Tidal through a Tibo Bond 3 via optical to the Arcam’s internal DAC. The speakers are on different height DIY ‘stands’ to compensate for the different heights of the furniture - the white is IKEA Kallax, the other is a chest of drawers I have had since childhood.
The Arcam is effectively an A18 amplifier and DV135 DVD player (plays DVD/DVD-A/SACD and CD) in one box with a DAC section, HDMI connections and bass management. I used an A18 before in the same set-up and they sound very similar.
We have owned it for a couple of years and it performs its role admirably.
It is a different machine from the MK3 Solo Movie 5.1 (see above) which is really capable and growing on me as a one-box AV streaming solution. Thanks to app updates it can now internet stream too - Tidal again.
I use a pair of Arcam MuSo Solo speakers with a Sonos Amp in my kitchen. Sits on top the cupboards tucked away nicely.
Had them for years, solid little speakers. They were part of the 5.1 system Arcam did back then from memory.
I’ve got some Kef Eggs in the summerhouse as well, decent little systems all told.
Thank you Mark84, compliment much appreciated
I would be terrified of kicking that.
Accuphases are monumental and sound good, but it’s not exactly my style. Now they are used only as a stand for the P9, because the room is small and there are problems with placement. Then they go on sale. This is a folding sofa, I sleep here. And yes, I love cleanliness and order)
I walk very carefully)
Added a shelf for Entreq boxes and to get the LP12 bit up for easier handling. Tilted the Eatons a bit which greatly improved the sound. Cheap one
lovely set up!
Hi Louis_Lx,
I saw in some other post that you had a problem with the PCM1704 in your CDX2.
I just had similar problem and would like to discuss with you possible solutions.
Best,
What is that rack?
My CDX2 was repaired by Naim, the mech was replaced.
Very happy with the result.
The problem was not the mech itself was a faulty dac.
Yes, I understood.
I had the same problem. A fault in the PCM1704K dac.
Do you mind if we speak or chat ?
I just joined the forum and I am no sure If I can send you a personal message.
I am also based in Lisbon.
Send me a personal message
I think I cannot do it yet, maybe because I just joined the Naim forum…
Got it, thanks.
You can delete email from here now.
You need to change now the electronics, to match the Entreq boxes and Lp12. This Pathos audio should do the trick. Just joking of course. Nice looking system
Is that a camping stove?
Probably looks quite nice in the dark with those tubes.
Even I look good in the dark
Yikes.
