Was it not possible to go active with the Naim amps and your new pmc speakers? Always wanted to hear those speakers?

System set up in new house, with warm white spot lights on the Nepalese fabric wall hanging.

Cable dressing far from perfect as yet.

But it sounds as good as I have ever hoped.

Also finally gave in and bought a smartphone, so my camera is a lot better than previously.

I have always liked blue/silver-themed trees.

Naim don’t do SNAXO for PMC sadly. But technichally you can insert a PMC crossover between a Supercap and NAPs no problem. But why bother? His PMC amps are made with those monitors in mind.

I’ve given some thought to PMC active myself.

I’m in Florida, I’m drinking aberfeldy tonight. Really enjoy this too!
So far I’ve tried monkey shoulder, dewars white label, dewars 12 year, buchanons 12, Glen Gary 12, the glenlivit 12 and 14, glenfidich 12,14,18, Chivas regal. And glen moray and Johnnie walker black.
So far my least favorite is the johnnie walker, and favorites are the two 14 year old. But I really like the aberfeldy too.

The new PMC provided their own crossover as well as power amp for the main speakers as well as separate power amp for the xbd-a subwoofer tower. Owner just need a pre amp to control the inputs and volumes. The volume of this PMC speaker if huge and Effortless.

I think they are Bryston amps, not sure what changes PMC have made…….i prefer Naim amps in a demo with Bryston ones?

Nope the PMC amps are designed and built in the UK by PMC.

PMC used to use Bryston years ago though. Possibly still do for their home audio stuff.

Thanks interesting to know, i like their little integrated.

Nice idea…:v:

Hi Pete, thanks for the reassurances. Did you find any change in SQ between HDD and SSD? It’s not something that I’d thought about, but in the linked post (below), @jan mentioned a harshness associated with the SSD and he changed back to HDD.
