Akurate spec LP12 with DV20X2H, 72/Hicap/250 with PMC GB1i speakers. Witch Hat cable’s through out. Streaming via a Node hidden in cupboard.
I know a dedicated hifi rack would be better but my wife doesn’t like the look of any I’ve showed her.
This is probably my end game system
And may I say, your wife is absolutely right. The set up fits beautifully your room . It would be too modern
Looking good Steve… enjoy.
ATB Graham.
How does the Accuphase sound and which model is it? I hear a few have migrated from Naim to Accuphase.
Gary
Ps looks very smart
It says E280 in his profile.
That’s a lovely looking room and I agree with your wife regarding the rack.
Hi Dave,
I do not know if we have discussed in the past, in my question as follows-
Does a reputable speaker manufacturer like Naim or Neat do not know how to design their speakers so that they will produce the maximum, in the stand ?!
Is there really a vital and audible need for all the special devices, of one company or another?
Just asking…
Floor construction varies, it seams reasonable that how you couple/decouple speakers might lead to different preferences.
As Yeti suggests, there’s probably no “one size fits all” solution.
Mind you, when I contacted Bob Surgeoner at Neat to get the info on thread size / pitch for the Gaias, it turned out that he himself was thinking of including them with his speakers.
Thanks Graham. I’m using the Gaia III’s, they are rated up to 32kgs so the S-400 just sneak under this limit. I know the Ovator’s have built in isolation, so I did b2b tests with and without the Gaia’s and the results were clearly better with the Gaia’s in place.
This looks so weird but awesome. I didn‘t imagine one can separate the pre and power from the statement.
Good to see some GB1i speakers fronted by some tasty classic Olive kit.
A very nice setup👌
Could the evening speaker shot be the new socks and slippers shot?
OK, I concede!
Is that Walnut, James?
That’s a lovely finish Nigel. It just pops in the evening light !
