I don’t know what is but evening sun seems to bring out more colour than morning sun.
Please…let it be so
WTF is it with the socks?!
Never understood it.
Definitely, me too, just recently I realized that the 6 disc changer in my Mercedes plays DVD Audio discs. I happen to have around 10-15 of these discs. Playing Metallica’s “Black” album the other day just rocked. I have multiple speakers throughout the SUV too, I even have bass and treble adjustment…imagine that.
This is the factory stereo, nowhere near the value of my home rig,but sometimes more enjoyable.
Gurus catching the early morning sun, don’t think piano black finish captures it like some of the stunning shots on here.
Utilitarian design of the Gurus in black not likely to win any beauty contests, their strengths are definitely the sound.
Is that still the demo pair?
Yes they are. Mine should arrive in the next 2 weeks or so.
Kef’s not giving much up in the morning sun, enigmatic ? Or just plain dull … envy those wood finishes in this context.
That’s why they are a bargain - KEF puts all the effort on the innards!
Not going to disagree, their construction is second to none, absolutely immaculate, more of an industrial design (which i like) but I can’t deny some of those wood finish speakers look stunning.
I have had the Harman Kardon hi-fi option in my last 3 new BMW’s, in 1998, 2002 & 2013, & each time the systems SQ has improved from the previous HK system.
In my view the HK upgrade option is really good value for money when compared with the extortionate cost of most other BMW optional extras.
The sound quality is excellent & although I am always surprised how much better the home system sounds, I do understand your comments about the HK system when played loud. I find this is great for a couple of minutes to impress music loving passengers but is far too loud to bear for much longer than that as well as probably not being very safe whilst driving, obscuring all other road traffic noise.
The radio/cd player in my vauxhall zafira goes quite loud lol
Quality isn’t the real reason to upgrade to HK, it’s a must because the regular one is useless once you start driving. You can’t really hear anything.
BMW’s marketing departments clever way of making you tick the HK upgrade box when ordering?
Mind you, things have improved. When I purchased my first BMW in 1992 I seem to recall that the steering wheel was an optional extra!
Sorry Nigel - missed that. Yes, Walnut.
