System Pics 2023

It’s a true story 90kg, filled with concrete

I am thinking of concreting whole house to match Sopra 2s. 100mm concrete over plasterboard everywhere. Gonna shutter whole house when I get time. Should be great for acoustics

Listening to a bit of Manu Katche to burn in the new Chord Epic Digital for the Audiolab 9000CDT. Sounding very nice tonight, speakers are on about 60 hours so far but am really pleased with the sound, crisp(but not too much) musical and the REL just set up right feeds into the bottom end giving that big room sound. Many thanks to Audio T Oxford for helping me out.

You have bought the wrong speakers. German manufacturer « Concrete audio « makes speakers with real concrete cabinet.
32 k for those in the pic.

Concrete isn’t good for the environment, just stick to your speakers Dan :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, but I will have to pile in more concrete to reinforce the floors in that area. Rebar and so on. A concrete system clearly needs reinforcing.

I am using environmentally friendly concrete from recycled concrete speakers F*S!! I am very conscious and passionate about environmental issues I have you know :joy:

Shame they didn’t do a 252 and 300DR.

Fraim installed today. Enjoy duelling Roon tracks with my son with a glass of Bourbon.

… alternatively, move into the Barbican - but it is said to be noisy there. Your neighbours 5 floors lower can enjoy your music too …

20 mtrs is too deep. Sucks the life from the bass.

12 to 14 mtrs is the recommended depth, depending on the type of surrounding sub-soil.

Trust me, I was an insurance broker…

Now get some IsoAcoustics on there and the mid bass will become so much more defined. Not a one note bass.

That’s not heavier than many men. If your floor needs reinforcing for 90kg speakers you’ve got bigger issues.
