System Pics 2023

Thank you.

Welcome. That’s a very nice system.
I bet it sounds as good as it looks

With the arrival of the NPX300 today my NC system is almost complete, just waiting on new cables from AV Options. My trusty Nait2 is away having its spa treatment, otherwise known as the AV Options Ultimate Upgrade, while my tube (valve) amp would have been here by now if I hadn’t opted for some design changes. Cable dressing will happen eventually!

Thank you. We’ve always loved the way Naim plays music & are extremely happy with the ‘level’ we’re at.

Night shot…reviving the ‘show us your lamps’ thread

Oh yeah. This is soo cool.

Wow… I’ve seen these lamps, but never lit…impressive!

Welcome, @twofifty. We’ll all try to help you spend your money ; )

It looks like you’re from Leeds. There are a fair few Yorkshiremen here, including some long-suffering LUFC fans. I’m sure they’ll make you feel at home.

Nice curtains. Puddling on trend.

Correct. Born in Leeds and a season ticket holder. Only a couple of weeks to go before we’re up and running again.

Im hoping puddling is a good thing

We have always used pre made sizes, the closest size has always been a bit long and never bothered about getting them hemmed to size, so have done the puddle.
Seems a thing recently. A show of one’s abundance and not one to hold back.

Ours are an off the peg number so the puddling is more accidental than design.

Thats a lovely classic Chrome Bumper system mixed with some newer kit and well specced LP12. Very nice indeed.

Thank you. I’ve never been tempted to replace the 32.5/hicap/250. I started with a 42/110, the 250 being my ultimate dream. I’ve been living the dream well over 30 years with nothing but the price of a full service at Class A spent to maintain their performance.

I can only admire your responsible ownership and resistance. :+1:t2:

Fortunately I had the 250 before the kids arrived. Back then I had an early pair of SBLs on the end. For a while upgrading was out of the question even if I’d wanted to. When I could afford to upgrade it struck me that I missed the Kans I’d sold to buy Sara’s to buy SBLs. That’s when ‘be thankful for what you’ve got’ kicked in.

I replaced the SBLs, not to upgrade but because they’re just too inconvenient. In theory (price) the Piega’s are a huge downgrade on the SBLs but we prefer them. I have no idea whether they sound better or worse cos we’ve had them a few years & I can’t remember the precise SBL sound but the Piega’s are convenient, unobtrusive, attractive (to us at least), beautifully made & we think, sound terrific - proving of course that it’s the source that counts! So we’re content and can just get on and play music.

I could do with a Karousel bearing of course

That’s pretty, what make is it?

It’s made by Original BTC. It’s a Fin table lamp.
