System Pics 2023

Yes it is very satisfying to hold and use, and the way it lights up with movement is very rewarding for my little mind!

Are the edges and corners less sharp than on the plastic one? I use mine a lot with the NDX2 and system automation to the 282, but it is certainly not designed to be comfortable in ones hand.

Thanks Clive. Fred’s tip to chill the gloop was really helpful when I had the first dose this morning. The second one is in 20 minutes time and is ready chilling in the fridge. We normally reach for the wine at 7.30, not this stuff!! And Mrs HH is about to eat risotto, which makes it even worse.

@Monkey_Jim Hi, thanks, a very nice story… I have and love that album, Extensions. It’s one of the very first CDs I bought decades ago…
Jay Graydon plays a wonderful solo in Nothing You Can Do About It, on the same album.
Lucky you! A fantastic souvenir. I wish I could take a look one day…
Best,
M

A work in progress. Three stack Fraim system. Waiting for NDS to come back which will be used as a DAC and new ND5XS2 will be used as streamer transport. Waiting for another Fraim shelf which is on order. Cable dressing needs some addressing but I am liking the change.

That’s looking really good, and much better with the gear on the left wall. I wonder if you could move the speakers a little wider, so the TV doesn’t look so hemmed in?

Definitely. Just set it up tonight. Speakers and TV can be moved. Very excited!

Attach a plunger and a balloon whisk to each of those speakers and you could host Dr-Who-themed parties at your house

Especially for you.

Well done Mr Strong. Just check you still get a stable central image on vocals, as they may need a tad of toe in now. Looks so much better though.

I had a colonoscopy last Wednesday which was unsuccessful as the Prep drink did not flush my system out thoroughly enough. I have managed to get an emergency one for this Saturday. I have been put on a low fibre diet and am having to take two doses of Movicol a day for 6 days. On my prep day I am having to take three doses of the prep mixture instead of the two last time.

Looking forward to Sunday.

Sounds a bit wider in terms of soundstage as well. The system sounds seriously good. And I like the stacks on the left. I have listened to everyone on the forum. It was @Igel who said move stacks to left wall. And I said no. So thanks again. He is a bit of a been there done that kind of guy but I listened to him.
