Linn LP12 Sondek + Slipsik 7.1 phono. Currently not connected since the RCA got too short
Love my Lp12. NDS plus 555PS very nice too. But yes, if feeling lazy it’s digital.
It’s beautiful. I have tried to part ways with it few times due to lack of playtime but pulled out. I guess digital got bit to good for me. Same with the vinyls. Started to sell some but my original blue note/Impulse collection stays. They smell so good
I go through phases where I will spend an evening or a morning playing nothing but vinyl. But NDS is so easy.
Here are a few pictures. On the whole the system hasn’t changed much except for the addition of a dedicated switch.
Still Magnum Dynalab MD107, ND555, NAC552, NAP300, ProAc K6.
Apologies in advance, as I’ve posted my system previously on other threads - so to add something new I’ve added a shot of my Bob Dylan scribbled note on a Daily Express review typed up by his assistant in 1963 of the TV play, Madhouse on Castle Street which he appeared in. No planned changes this year, but the two things that might be on my radar if funds permit would be trading the 300DR in for a 500DR and an Ekstatik if the Kandid claps out - quite likely given the rate of use
I’ve watched the You Tubes and having owned three pairs of Dyns including S40s currently (and listened to several more) I have a LOT more faith in Dynaudio than I do that guy.
I agree. That guy’s kits cost upwards of £300 (for the S40s) and there seems to be no way of testing them before you fit them. The bloke seems a bit of a wanker, he puts more faith in graphs than his ears, and his video “reviews” are worse than useless as they are just sales pitches for his kits.
No, it’s a granite platform. Costed me not a lot, maybe 150 euros. Very effective.
Nice! It will probably be even better after a week or so.
In which case ‘Some Girls” is gonna be right out…
No, no, no…
You only get bragging rights with 3.
Sorry Mike but 2 uncluttered stacks does look classy.
Agree 100%
And it would mean Mike could accomodate an LP12 which would look very classy indeed
Why on earth you you clutter up a rack with a turntable.
Because it looks fantastic
Too much wood.
He should paint it black!
