System Pics 2023

Hi @DougieDanger!
May I ask if you just put these devices under the Spikes of your speakers ( like Spike-Cups), or do you remove the Spikes and mount them directly under the speakers using the threads.
Tanks,
Regards,

May I ask how you have organised the power distribution? There should be at least 16 plugs.

It’s on two power Igels with six outlets each. But it’s “only” nine I need, fortunately and not 16 :see_no_evil::sweat_smile:

Hi @jodl
Yes I put them under the spikes. It was the slim ones that sounded the best for me.

Are you a geography teacher? (I love the level of detail on your world-map mural – especially the lakes!)

A system can quickly become complex: here is the layout of my big (Linn based) rig:

Reminds me of some complex rail road diagram. I am afraid I am not familiar with most components shown here. Are your speakers Komri aktive by themselves or driven by multiple power amps ?

It’s very important to Mrs C and me that no cables are visible and isoblue is great for that. Same can be true of Fraim of course but sadly not fraim lite

Wait did you honestly include fuses in your breakdown there

Both, aktive servo bass and then 8 solo amps, one for each register. One aktive 6-way crossover per channel (5 used)…lots of cables and dressing is a nightmare

No, but my wife is, and my father was before he retired. I teach primary age - mainly KS2 (used to be called Juniors). The map was my wife’s idea and we chose the colour to tone with the room. It is self adhesive - I just hope I never have to paint the wall😆.

In Sweden we have 3 phase 230v electricity. My electrician measured the phase with least load and cleanest overtone structure. Thats where the hifi “starts” (or ends, depending on your view). Then I use 2 parallel sub panels to feed the front-end and back-end respectively. The first fuses (and fuse holder) should be the most important. AHP in Germany has some good sounding products with solid construction and large contact areas. The following fuses are in the distribution blocks and electronics (better left alone according manufacturers instructions). We do not have fuses or switches in the outlets or in the powercords.

Some pictures of my system. Compared to last year only a few updates to the electrical system and some new wiring, now all complete with witch hat.

Totally agree. This is the reason I chose a similar rack, so the cabling is hidden best as possible.
Looks less technical and more like a furniture to me.

sorry to say, apart from the nice DBL’s looks, the Fraim set up looks terrible in the room
