Hifi podium racks are the dogs
I got Hyperion (and Chandos as well, I think) to replace most of the ones affected at the time. A few developed it later, despite the expertsâ opinion that if theyâd been ok for a certain time theyâd be ok for ever
Thank you, and so flexible. Had to raise a tier to hold full width CD5Si with Stageline perched on top.
I use them out of necessity - the nature of the built in feet on my speakers and the deepish pile of my carpeting are incompatible (adjustable non-carpet piercing brass screw/spike in front and hard balls - hard rubber is oem, but, at the suggestion of the designer, I replaced them with stainless steel, the rubber imparting a little too much warmth, even for my taste which runs toward the warm side of neutral - which fit into little hemispherical cutouts under a âskid plateâ that goes across the entire rear bottom of the speaker and protrudes at either side to form the back feet - sounds much more complicated than it is in reality). So, I canât tell you how they sound without the boards for comparison, because Iâve only used them with (I had the discussion with my dealer and the manufacturer prior to bringing the speakers home because I knew the carpet would be an issue for the footer arrangement, and they both said to get 1.5 - 2â thick maple boards, so thatâs what I got). IIRC, I got them on Amazon. Nothing audio specific. They work perfectly (early on I may have tried spikes under the boards and rejected them), but theyâve been set up as is for over 5 years, and Iâve honestly never given the boards a second thought - which I suppose is a good thing. Iâm confident the bamboo boards will work just as well for you.
Back in the small music room what is it about being surrounded by physical media that makes me happy. Maybe itâs an age thing but I love it. Not an audiophile setting so donât start.
That might be just what I need to fit inside my ancient but solid CWD rack, in order to separate my cd3.5 from the flatcap2. CWD is long gone, so I canât just buy an additional shelf. Iâve been looking at amp stands for that purpose, but theyâre all too wide.
Many of us wouldnât start, probably the thoughts of acoustics, room layout and stacking being left quite rightly, in a far off land to be fair. Its your space, your gear and Im convinced you listen to your music collection here, not your hifi equipment. All power to you⌠looks a right cosy place for a snifter and a relaxed listen.Nice.
IBLâs ???
Edited: I see theyâre Naim Arivaâs, what are they like? Iâve not heard a lot about them.
Is that a Pink Floyd beach towel or a bloody massive tee shirt
Not quite sure what you call it really
Very neat system, doesnât dominate the room as others seam to do!
Plenty of media, thatâs what we have systems for, listening
Welcome Bob,
However be aware, if you read the forum rules, non audiophile can be banished from the forum. You have a few hours to buy some black boxes.
wow, nice gear!
I see itâs your anniversary today on the Naim forum âJoined Feb 3 2019â
Work great in our setting, plenty of oomph and good treble. Since our house is from 1935 and has many art deco features, they seem to sit well in our room.
FR is joking, Bob. I think.
Nice room. Iâd love to have all our vinyl in the listening room, but would probably only have space for an Alexa
I think Bob3 is fineâŚhe has a dedicated listening position so he must be an âaudiophileâ really.
