System Pics 2023

Nice setup. I see you have another pair of Guru Juniors my mate Jon is still enjoying your last set, great speakers👍

Nice 82 I see there!

Still excellent though! I know the fraim adds more depth and textures to the port, but the NDX2 may be a bit happier on the top shelf.

I know. But for aesthetic reasons, I will not do it! I know, I am vain.

Yes, there is good sound, then better, then even better and even better. There’s no best. :slightly_smiling_face:

So, the idea of downsizing is to reduce clutter which takes precedence over sound quality?

Out of interest, what inspired you to ditch the power supplies? Running a bare SN3/NDX2 myself and have never heard it with PSU’s.

I’m also wondering ‘new version supernait 3’ ? What does mean? New purchase or there was some Naim upgrade of supernait 3?

The Linn is fantastic. My end game source. Just amp(s) to go and with it being Linn’s 50th year and Naim hinting that more will be coming from them later this year, it’s just a waiting game now.

They are rather special and I really missed them. Was lucky enough to get new old stock from Tom Tom. New models coming soon apparently.

You seem have scaled the heights with your main setup. Second system is not too shabby either. :grinning:

Seems like it’s becoming a thing. I blame Halibut.

Hi BR, intrigued by your amp, I’ve know of the company for a while but no direct experience and your post made me go looking and very interesting proposition.

What’s it like? Especially as I have Gurus. Cheers

It’s a fish on a mission.

But imo Nait have always been great value for money. Uniti is just a Nait with lipstick.

Hardly. It people want lots of boxes, they can fill their boots. Something like a Nova is never going to be as good as a top notch multibox system. It’s simply down to getting what works for each of us.

Early days Adam but impressed so far. This is my first all digital outing and I don’t hear any of the ‘lightness’ that is often talked about. It weighs nothing which might be problematic for those who think quality HiFi has to hurt your back!

The app is very basic but lets you control the inputs and radio presets, RoomPerfect mode (Focus and Global). uPnP handling is a bit of a let down so I’m using Glider for that side of things (did try JPlay which is excellent but £43.99 a month for an app!!).

Most of the features are handled by PC/Mac local interface (plenty for you to play with here). RoomPerfect was very easy to set up and took less than 30 mins (I did more readings).

Very happy with this system and it is here to stay. Wife can use it very easily (all the usual suspects are catered for). But as I always say, your room, your ears. The Gurus are singing.

Thanks for the reply, definitely sounds interesting and one reason was a mate of mine has a challenging room / listening position. He is often looking at new streamers and has an Arcam SA20, so given your Lyngdorf is in the circa £2K bracket and features streamer built in, plus the room calibration it could offer him an ideal upgrade/solution.

Since seeing your amp been reading a few reviews that are all super positive.

He also has Kef LS50 Metas, as do I in my other system and gut feel the two advanced techs could gel.

As an aside I’ll be listening to the grand daddy Guru’s over easter, the Q60’s, in my cabin system, will be interested to see how their Guru magic plays out with the big boys of the range.

Those Q60s are rare beasts! Would be curious to read your thoughts on how they perform.

no probs YZ, will be pictures and how they sound, looking forward to it.

Three hours of my life I won’t get back, but done now. Brawn stack properly sorted with arrival of Superlumina speaker cables. Previous NACA 4 buried under floor was too short to connect to NAP300 head unit. Also recently serviced Nakamichi CR3 has been introduced into system. Sounds canny.

Top box left needs centralised my OCD alarm bell is ringing.
Nice touch with the Radikal I’ve never seen before though. :+1:t2:
