That’s a fine lamp indeed. Here’s my new (new) one.

I feel like you are inviting us to play a very difficult game of spot the dust :joy:

Welcome to the forum and joking aside, that’s a very nice looking system and setup you have there. I always think a system needs to be part of the furniture and room and yours definitely achieves that :+1:

There is some very impressive cable dressing in that picture. You can hardly see any of them! Round of applause

That looks like a very nice and relaxing listening room.

It looks worse in reality, as the speakers now have mains leads. Still, it’s not too bad, and about as good as I can get it.

I also think that a system has to fit your personal style and the furniture and the room, not just visually but also sound wise. And as a smart home junkie, it also has to fit into the overall concept of the apartment.

I use Roon because Roon is implemented extremely well in the Nova. In Roon I use Roon extensions, e.g. Macro.on and MQTT.

There is an IKEA Tradfri Button under the coffee table. With a short press, Roon switches on my favorite radio station with a defined volume (Macro.on), and the Ulanzi clock appears with ticker text and wishes us a good morning and a nice day, from 10 a.m. have fun listening to music. Roon stops with a long press and the Nova switches off after a few minutes. All information about the track or artist as well as radio stations also appears on the clock in scrolling text for a maximum of 3 minutes. Everything with home assistant via MQTT

I am loving it

Nice. I like gadgets but you are way ahead of me!

Are the grey squares on the wall, acoustic panels or purely decorative (or both!)? Looking good.

They are acoustic panels (absorbers). They are called “Soundwave Swell” by the Swedish company OFFECCT.

They were designed for a Czech restaurant in Helsinki in 1999. I found pictures on the web showing one room at New York’s MOMA with the Soundwave Swells and a Barcelona Chair by Mies van der Rohe. So obviously other people than me also think it is an iconic design

Caveat is they are extremely expansive. Actually 179 Euro per piece I think. I was lucky and bought 35 pieces for a small amount 4 years ago. Maybe they were used for a trade show and sold cheaply afterwards.

In France?

Some updated system pics. It’s been a case of fine tuning since my last system pics. Added Super Lumina speaker cables, Puritan 156 and Isoacoustics Gaia 1. The Super Lumina speaker cables are brand new and a week old so they take time to run in.

Loving the system, loving life, thank you for all the support on here with my Cancer health journey.

Love to you all,

Dan

Dan. Your system is so big it must be from Texas. Looks great though and I imagine it sounds amazing.
