System Pics 2024

Makes good sense, first order is to best position the speaker, then place and dial in the subwoofer.

When I had my B&W 805’s I was bi amping with Densen then it all made sense, but unless you can do that, yes, single wired all the time.

I removed quite a collection of small children’s toys through the bass port of a second hand pair of Tannoys I purchased. I thought I had got them all out until I heard a rattle at high volume - fortunately removing four more items did the trick!

I really like the look of Davones - they have made a range of interesting speakers over the years from the original Rithm onwards. I particularly like the look of the current Moxies. Made in Denmark.

I just got through hooking up my new NAP 350’s. Currently using a Classe Delta preamp and ND5 XS2 from the previous system. Next up will be a NSS 333 and move the ND5 back to the SN 3 in another room. It will probably be a couple of months before I get the 333. Eventually will get a 332 but really likening the Classe Delta with Naim 350’s

I do, too. My former mate also did. I never dared looking for some, in fear that such refined, studied looks may hide some lack of true quality, but this is an induced mental bias. I may try some, now that I have my time, my money and my judgment for myself.

Beautiful indeed and they would go very well, I agree. How do they sound?

Thank you very much for the clear description of your journey to get to this system. It is always interesting to read about the differences in sound someone has experienced in a home situation. Because comparing is very difficult when going to a dealer.

My Nova driving a pair of Harbeth C7 40th anniversary speakers. Sounding so natural! Love them. I am hoping to swap the Nova for an SN3/NDX2 combo in the summer.
Happy sunny Sunday peeps.

They work really nice with the Nova, but I am eager to move the amplification up a notch when I can afford to. It never stops does it!

They’re 4 by 2 IKEA LACK shelf unit, the old version of the KALLAX. I put the IKEA legs on it, that’s it !

Even if you’ve bought the full “Statement”, you still have a lifetime of switching between different makes of cable, ever-more elaborate room treatments (and if you can afford the full Statement anyway, moving house in search of the most “HiFi friendly” dwelling every three years) plus of course, splurging on the next iteration of the “Statement” anyway and buying a Bentley limo “just to see”.

As the victim tremulously pleaded at the end of the original “The Fly”…

“Help me, help me.”. :joy:

Very true! :joy:

Nothing new system-wise, but included sunshine and water this time.
