Looks like a Martin and a Taylor?
Yes indeed. Good eye. 00-18 and a GS mini koa
Good eye indeed! I have a D28, lovely lovely guitar…
A slight change to the Fraim with the addition of a Fraim Lite Level, I’m now on the lookout for a Chord Ensemble stand for the DAVE to complete.
The lack of visible wires is most impressive.
Thanks! Around the back of the Fraim its a different story.
Loose the Fraim, and buy something like a Isoblue, or alternative. You will not notice the SQ difference😊
Yeah chuck that £4k in the bin
Do they sell well 2nd hand? I diid a quick check on ebay and it didn’t look very promising.
I’m happy enough with my fraim but I’m not sure I would buy it again.
Good taste in guitars too Max! I have a D41 which is essentially the same. I would love a D18 too but that would perhaps be one too many.
As they say……”It’s only money”
Glad you are happy with Naim Fraim. As with most HiFi accessories. your usually looking at around half full retail price, as being a realistic guide for its second hand value.
Just remember next time your disassembling or assembling your Fraim, there are equal sonic HiFi racks out there, that are easier to dis/assemble, clean, aesthetically pleasing and above all…half the price.
Blasphemy!
I’m not so sure. I had a D18 for a number of years, but it was a devil to play. I had all sorts of work done on it to improve playability, including going so far as to having the bridge shaved (not just the saddle), but eventually I gave up. I sold it and replaced it with my first Taylor, a 314.
I very much share this view Clive. My Martin is there for its sound, Taylor’s much more for playability.
And I share you both’s view. My D28 seems to need longer, stronger fingers than mine and just strumming with a pick…
I will check it the next opportunity I have. may need some tweaking.
Don’t we have a guitar thread running?
Upgrade the figure-8 mains cable on the Grundig and you’ll be sorted
Your Grundig is a classic! It reminds me of my first cassette recorder, a PrinzSound TR9 which my parents bought me in 1972. The Genesis tape is from the right era too, although I wasn’t listening to Genesis in those days.
Just recieved my new Phono Pre today. It‘s a Canor Tube Amplifier and it sounds so sweet, dynamic, detailled and deep. Like a live concert now. Actually listening to „We get Requests“ from Oscar Peterson (Verve AS Version). And there will be enough time to run in. Huge upgrade after I bought Lingo 4 and Kore some weeks ago.
