Hi @Marty1964,
I have been using Naca 5 on my various set ups over the years. I am now changing to Super Lumina.
Definitely worth using Naca 5. It’s a very good cable.
Got some Arrivas, they’re basically like new.
Naim made ‘em, I perfected ‘em; I didn’t like the cloth grills, they’re a bit characterless so I designed these and had them made. Pretty pleased with the outcome:
Sound wise the speakers offer WAY more bass than my IBL’s and the SBL’s I had before. Detail wise they are good but somehow sound a little darker than either of the ‘BL’ range. I like their design and clean aesthetic though. For now they’ll stay. Still have my IBL’s safely tucked away though.
We play loud. Without distortion. Impossible to play like this on hi-fi speakers.
Big sweetspot, good sound.
I had a pair between twice SBLs. Now I have IBLs. Arivas are ‘darker’ than either but timbre-wise more true-to-life than either also. My opinion at least. Keep them, I don’t think you paid much for them.
Yep, sure way to deafness
It is fun to play loud from time to time. There is absolutely no problem to play loud when your equipement can. Guys with fast cars also drive above 250, i guess.
That’s what the riveters in the shipyards said
Seriously, yes there’s nothing like a blast now and again, as long as we all take care of our lugs!
Hi @all,
New to this forum I’d like to share a first system pic:
Uniti Nova, Speaker Heaven 4.5 TSI, Roon Server on battery driven NUC 10i7 in fanless Akasa Turing case and battery driven Switch hidden in the lowboard. The speakers are covered with furniture foil. They are originally made of cherry wood.
Very nice looking system you have there!
What’s happened to the old one HH?
Really liked that
I feel like you are inviting us to play a very difficult game of spot the dust
Welcome to the forum and joking aside, that’s a very nice looking system and setup you have there. I always think a system needs to be part of the furniture and room and yours definitely achieves that
There is some very impressive cable dressing in that picture. You can hardly see any of them! Round of applause
That looks like a very nice and relaxing listening room.
That’s a very lovely lamp, Knaitrover.
