Enjoy, wonderful preamp imho
Thanks for the right up. I have heard the Confidence 20s at my dealers and much preferred them to Kudos 606s which were also tried but unable to compare with PMC 25.26i which I currently own as they didn’t have a pair in at the time. Could be time for a home dem if the Dyns, especially as my speaker position is either side of a chimney breast and close to the rear wall.
Thanks @Dan_M - very occasionally where it is. The HE used to be on my desk. It’s great with headphones obviously, but also a very nice streamer/pre. Eventually I will replace it and it will come back to the desk, but not till later next year (tax bill and school fees incoming for Jan!). I’ll want to take my time and audition some other digital sources against it, 333 obviously, Linn, dcs etc. It’s not going to be cheap to replace as the Atom HE is actually pretty good! Of course I can just pick up another used one for the office… LOL.
Well, it’s a great idea to use the Atom HE in your system. As for streamers, see what sounds right with the rest of your set up.
Can’t say. But I prefer easily the OC vs NC.
Quasi Modos?
They have a bass hump at 30Hz, apparently.

Congratulations!
All I’ve worn for years, the nearest to wearing glasses but not feeling them on. I’ve scarily accumulated 4 pairs.
You have good taste.
A very nice space. What is your chair? Looks great.
I don’t know any poor people with your quality of a hifi system😁
Typo. Quad Moda 1000.
I wouldn’t “upgrade” from 25.26i to Confidence 20. What I learned with PMC is they need a lot of time breaking in, my 25.23 started to sound right after 6 months. And the 25.26i love power and will sound anemic with lesser amplification.
Speaking of which, what amp are you using to drive yours? You profile hasn’t been filled in yet.
I have the NC250 so decent heft for my 25.26is. Not unhappy with my PMCs and my wife likes them as furniture but I like to change things now and again- hence the reason why I don’t bother with my profile.
Lovely, very clean and class looks. Probably sounds ok too
Sorry to hear that. I’ve had an Aeron for 20 yrs and only needed to replace the wheels recently.
