System Pics 2025

Hi @Seacat77 , looks fantastic! Also, I can see you have put quite a bit of effort in getting loudspeaker position to give you the best sound, plus with an appropriate amount of room treatment too.

I am glad you have got what you want in your new dwelling.

PS: very shortly I may be investigating mains power filtering / conditioning products. Is that such an item on the floor at the back (and if so, what did you choose) or is it simply a multi-way distribution board?

Hi Mario thank you ! Yes, ATCSCM100ASTL - actives, wonderful speakers that just punches along and shows me easily every upgrade that I’ve had.

EE thank you ! That’s a Chord Company PowerHAUS M6 with a Sarum T power cable feeding it.

I thought it was a wonderful upgrade at the time, it tied the system together beautifully. To me it was the equal to a NAIM Box upgrade.

I can imagine you have an excellent system there.

What are the two identical units (one above the other) on your rack?

There were some issues along the way that forced our hand, such as the cabin itself.
It’s very speaker sensitive and as a result the Dynaudio Evoke 50’s had to go.
Naim Streamers were also a major problem since last October and they had to go too.
It’s been expensive at times, but it’s all been worth it😉

They must sound great with a balanced connection to a naim pre, is the the 300 power supply for the pre, oh and is that European walnut, sorry for all the questions, but that’s a system I may get once I move house.

This would be a nice addition to the "Show us your ATC’S " thread.

I think you and @Camlan are the only people running 100 ASLT’s on here.

If I had the space and about £30k, 150ASLT’s would scratch my active DBL itch. As my forum posts indicate, I haven’t.

That is my 2 box Antipodes Audio K41 G4 (server) and
K22 G4 (Server / Streamer).

Each are a separate purchase, got the K22 first and was so impressed that I recently got the K41.

They both add up performance and technical wise to an Antipodes K50 G4.

Hi Mario, yes I’m running a NAC322 / NPX300 and XLR out to the ATC’s.

These are in a Rosewood finish. A very dark Rosewood too, a lovely veneer.

Some Rosewood speakers that I see are very light coloured, I love this darker shade.

I’ve seen a few comments about your streamer issues. Out of curiosity, do you use Netgear Orbi mesh wifi? I had similar sounding issues and I traced it back to the Orbi. Like you it affected NDX2/ND5XS2/Atom HE, but NOT the Muso 2 or any other non-naim device in the house.

No Entilzha, we are using a TP-Link Cellular Router and TP-Link Mesh.
We tried the TP-Link router on its own hardwired to both routers with the same problems.
We also transplanted the Router to my dealers premises and ran the same test and the problem did not recur🤷🏻‍♂️
The fault was only reproducible here and we swapped routers and Cellular Networks with no difference.
We even tried turning off all the network devices in the house, including the alarm system with no improvement.
Interestingly, the problem only started after the FW update in October of last year. It is also not a problem that occurs at all on the Linn streamers🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m using the same TP link Archer 600 as you and it’s rock solid, thankfully I have a 4G cell up the hill behind my house so reception is pretty good, alternating between 2 and 3 bars. I can’t work out if 3 bars is the max, there doesn’t seem to be 4?

You may not be getting as good reception as someone say 1km away. This is dependent on the coverage lobes of the mast. If it is just up the hill the signal transmission lobes may be predominantly above your house and so you do not receive max signal. Just saying and I may be totally off beam (no pun intended) as I do not have access to heights, lobe diagrams etc.

Are you using the Auva 100s on the carpet without the spikes?

Nice glass of white out of sight.

Latest system pics showing the latest upgrade. The dedicated KA stands for the Mimi speakers. I honestly didn’t believe that stands made much of a difference as long as they were rigid and well anchored. Then these arrived. They are made of a material called Krion, are not terribly heavy, incorporate panzerholtz wood in the top plate and wobble courtesy of the IsoAcoustics footers. They are also stupidly expensive and cost more finished in black.

I thought there was no way these things were going to stay. But OMG! They let the Mimi breath like I could not imagine. Soundstage, articulation, clarity, bass extension all massively improved. And the boogie factor just went off the scale!

I don’t think that I have made a more important upgrade to my system for a long time!

If a system photograph could be called pretty, this would be it.

Using the AUVA100 with 15mm spikes.

I tried them without spikes and I like it more with them on.

Just tightens up the soundstage a little bit more / more focus.

I am very happy with this setup, so no changes have been made recently. The exception is the location in the room where the speakers are once again placed against the long wall (6x4.5m).

In some weak moments the idea of going analog with the preamp, NAC332, comes to mind, but that results in two extra shelves. Streamer and phonoamp. Suggestions on how to get around this problem are gratefully received  except from that I could keep it as it is and continue listening to music.

Is the right answer :grinning_face::+1:.

Sell the NSC 222 and NPX 300 and replace them with the NSS 333 and NAC 332. There, solved it :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Ooooops. You’d still need a phono amp. Drat!
