System Pics 2026

Amazing how personal preferences override what seemingly must be the “better” system based on cost.

I’ll certainly report back.

Just get the 50 actives (if your room will accommodate them) - you won’t be disappointed and you know you really want them

Could be a bit of a tight squeeze, to say nothing of planning committee approval :joy::joy::joy:

Your 50s do look great. Do you mind me asking how far apart you have them? It looks like you’ve got a nice large room there to get the most out of them.

active 50s and organik Linn is my tool of choice - sounds amazing to my ears - I do agree that it needs to be “turned up”.

‘Anaemic’ was the word that came to mind when I tested a Selekt Dual Organik Utopik against the 333:300. I wanted to like it for the simplicity, but it was just so uninteresting. Even with the 332:300 in play I just couldn’t get it to wake up.

It takes all kinds to make a world though, and some swear by it, so each to their own and all that.

I recently heard an older DS3 Akurate Katalyst Dynamik, which I preferred to the Selekt above.

Fortunately I have a large-ish “man cave” to which the local planning committee turns a blind eye.

Thanks. They are around 3.5 m apart, around 1.25 m from the side walls and 0.4m from the back wall. The listening position is a bit further (4-4.5m) ; so not the classic equilateral triangle, but doesn’t seem to detract (I’ve tried listening at 3.5m).

Thanks for sharing. You’ve definitely got a bigger space to play with than most and I bet the 50s sound great as a result. Enjoy!

Impossible not to love Naim IBLs especially with a 552DR/500. ATCs sulking in the corner lol!

I have to say it looks better that way! I just got a pair of IBLs and they’re great with a 52/250. I bet they’re taking up a few notches with a 552/500!

Plenty of love for my iBLs here = they sound amazing and the best I have ever enjoyed them with the NAP350 mono’s.

Is the rack made of concrete?

Yes, I’ve a whole stack of these as leftovers from the garden renovation. The sides are made of hardwood, leftovers from the old pergola. I love recycling

Lovely setup. Are those Totems part of their line that have no crossover? How do you like them?

I think we have the same idea with the same plant sir!!! Absolutely loves being near the speaker.
