Take the opportunity of VTuner

Ciao to all, I’m a very satisfied owner of a SuperUniti since long time.
In the while we are waiting an update about VTuner, I would ask if should be possible that Naim take the opportunity to think about updates of old streaming products.
I’m talking about to add to the firmware other music services like Qobuz and TuneIn radio for example.

Thanks to take in cosideration these few rows.

Have a nice sunday,

Marco

Marco, foreseeing potential issues ahead, a year ago Naim started planning on developing their own in-house Internet Radio service. Iaunched a few months ago for current products and Naim have been continuing their work to being it to older legacy Naim products as well. Their original hope was to have it ready by now but I know that due to limitations of the earlier hardware it was quite tricky to do, hence why it’s not quite ready yet (unfortunate in light of Vtuner’s failure yesterday). Those limitations have meant that adding extra services to the older streaming hardware is not possible, especially once they are made ready for Naim’s in-house Internet radio service.

So, hopefully very soon you will be able to apply a firmware update to your Superuniti to take advantage of the new Naim Internet Radio service. In the meantime, for as long as Vtuner is down you might be able to use other devices to send IR to your Superuniti, either by Bluetooth (if you have it), Airplay, or by direct connection. If you also have any of the current streamers in the house you can also use one of them to send a multiroom cast to your Superuniti.

Good morning Richard, thank you for all. I just upgrade my SuperUniti to 4.9.40 version and iRadio came back to works. Only one thing: is there possibility to report to Naim some stations if are listed but they doesn’t works?

Thank you,

Marco

Marco, if you would like to request stations to be added that you cannot find then you can do so here;
