Tarting up my beauties finished

Mine come out slowly aswell,

to replace the thread you can use a helicoil kit. :grinning:
the kit comes with a drill, tap and coils.
just drill, tap and replace the thread with one of the coils.

Thanks, I have a tap and die set,

Quick tip when attempting the seal test…

Use a plastic bowl/cup on speaker cone to compress woofer - saves too much pressure in one or two areas if using fingers :+1:

An interesting idea, but if you use all five fingers, you can get even pressure. I can’t imagine anyone would be silly enough to try it with one or two.

Superb clean up job @GrumpyOLDvinylJUNKY :+1: I’m fastidious bordering on obsession and I’d be proud if they were mine.

£30 ph
Taken about 6 hours so far, 36years of dry glue is a pain in the ass,

I would pay 30 pounds per hour
But my SBLs are too far away from you I think

It’s an easy job to do, just takes a long time,
As in earlier posts, only effective way is
Isopropyl, cotton buds, and lots of cotton rags,
Good thing is playing music while doing it, being close to the speaker,
