My powerline did not fit properly fit in the socket of my 500ps and blew the fuse, and having replaced the fuse the holder would not go back in. So off to naim with both items and 3 weeks later new socket in the ps and new plug on the powerline and all done at no cost. All out of warranty. So thank you naim.

How to ensure your Powerline is properly connected

You need to push until the first major resistance - some stop there thinking it’s in, but it’s not, at least not properly. It then needs a much firmer push to open up the very tight jaws to make a proper grip on the pins. As you do so you’ll see the back part of the plug push backwards. Just be sure you are holding on to the front of the kit because otherwise the force needed will send it flying off the shelf. What on earth are you on about ? Hi-Lines are a bit delicate but Power-Lines ?
