After intensive evaluations of an extensive range of options. These are the Best ![]()
The pistachio are excellent, too. I also like the coconut.
After having a sinus infection and the doctor reccomended trying this to ease the discomfort I now use it almost daily even though the infection cleared up some weeks ago.
I thought pouring saline up my nose would be rather unpleasant but discovered to my relief itโs not bad at all and the results are well worth it.
Absolutely right!
Jam needs sreading to the extremities of the scone, and cream to get sone in every bite. But yes, cream on top - and no butter.
Why so few? (Or have the rest been eaten, but leaving precious few crumbs?)
The three of us had scones for lunch. These were the last 2. Sadly no clotted cream in NZ , better for our hearts!
I donโt mind which way - but does need as much butter as cream.
No! No! The one on the left is correct. The clotted cream functions as the butter, preventing the jam from sogging up the scone. Actually, even that one is not right. Spread the cream over the scone, not just a lump in the middle. And too much jam on there - need more room for the cream.
Nooooooooooo ![]()
You are DEFINITELY correct (imho).
I spread my scones like the one on the left then eat it upside down! Itโs a whole different experience.
Donโt you get dizzy.![]()
Makes sense. You donโt put the jam under the butter when using bread.
Whereโs the currants?
I find that the blood rushes to my head when I do that.
Exactly
But butter is perfect for spreading, as a thin(ish) layer, whether on its own or sealing bread from wet additions. Cream is wetter (butter max ~16% water, vs whipped or clotted cream between about 44% and 64%, and cream to most people is also nicer to consumed in greater bulk than is butter so a much thicker dollop., with even spreading of jam on top more difficult.
