Vegemite every time
Any recommendations on ski gloves? Hestra?
I donβt know Hestra, but Swany seems to be the βpremiumβ brand on sale in the (Colorado) ski shops I habitually frequent.
Iβm on my second pair of Swany X-change gloves - the first pair lasted ten years, my current pair still look practically brand new despite me not being the most careful skier nor treating them with, erm, kid gloves.
I do notice that US Ski Patrol people seem to favour yellow leather DIY-style gloves (Kinco, for example), though I suspect thatβs more to do with the nature of their job rather than just the skiing requirements.

Same.
Thanks @Ebor for the recommendation. Yes, Hestra do a leather βarmy/patrolβ type glove that looks good. Will also check out Swamy.
Thatβs nice, but the stitching looks a little clumsy.
These are the hand-sewn leather covers I make for Moleskine journals ( large and xl shown).
What you consider clumsy I consider robust.
The hand sewn workmanship has a lifetime guarantee for whatever thatβs worth.
The closing of the moleskin cover using my Lamy pen in the loops works perfectly.
The reason I purchased this over other designs.
