Arguably perhaps not really “Blues”, Paul Jones used to play them back in the day on his Blues show so I guess that qualifies admission. Anyhow I love this track, brings back memories of my first car, a MK4 Cortina 1.6GL, I had a large pair of Goodman’s speakers on the parcel shelf and a “Realistic” amp/equalizer from Tandy, used to cruise around blasting this thinking I was the bees knees :rofl:

This LP was another interesting introduction to the Blues, featuring ( and the first time i ever heard) the original versions of many of the tunes coveted by the “British Blues Explosion” bands…

This Jump Blues Classic will equally be at home on the Reggae thread as it was played and known as Coxsone hop when he played it on his Sound System with the label scratched out until it’s true identity was discovered…

I don’t believe you can talk about the blues without including ‘Willie Dixon.’

Willie wrote many of the songs that later ended up on Rock and Roll albums.

One of my favorites from Willie…

Give it a spin… one sweet album!

Jon Wayne. Two Graduated Jiggers. 2000

Certainly blues, but maybe some country garage punk parody thrown in for good measure.
If you like some of the more ramshackle blues greats, this could appeal.
