Made an enquiry today for a Naim Atom HE , it suits my needs as did the NOVA before my Nait 50 , I think Naim still offer a wider range than any other UK audio manufacturer
The Uniti range is slowly taking over the Classic and the CI Uniti 102 has had some seriously good reviews on a pound per sound basis
What I do thin is that there are the occasional gap such as a CD transport (for when my CDX 2 reaches it’s end of life )

Started to discuss this with my dealer , the trade in-value I have been offered on an existing bit of is not great .
We are talking about a home visit (with my driving ban) but it all depends on other factors (post stroke) . I have suggested we leave it until the results of hospital tests are known

Trade in deals are definitely softening at the moment, particularly as dealers tend to hold little/no stock and therefore everything’s at current list price to start with.
No harm in getting a few other quotes and doing a bit of haggling though 
.

As an aside, with Naim’s recent resolution of the internet radio availability/reliability issues by the undoubted master stroke of creating their own internet radio service for Naim owners the question arises as to what would happen to that service were Naim to cease operating……. the new code being incompatible with the earlier services.

Apologies for the delay, it took me a few weeks longer to arrange than I initially imagined.

It was interesting to speak with Steve S at the factory last week about the CI-102. He reckons that the Atom is a fair way ahead but was telling me that the streamer and pre-amp are definitely the highlights of the CI-102, the power amp being not quite as good but fine for its size, cost and purpose. So, on that basis, well worth trying it into a more capable power amplifier I would think…

In SQ, functionality, ease of use?
Because looking at a 102 in terms of price vs functionality there’s a massive case to be made for it if the SQ is good. With streaming, I think I’d only need one analogue input anyway. A sub out? Check. And no screen, phone control only? Check again for me.
And an HDMI input is icing on the cake. All the more reason to put that cool class-D in a cabinet under the TV.
