No Taree
No, not yet. Maybe when I see the specialist in October sheāll come up with something ā¦ or hopefully maybe nothing.
I remember about 20 years ago when my wife was a private patient for a few days at St Thomasās hospital in London, she showed me that not only had they given her the menu, but for those patients for whom the doctor hadnāt forbidden it, there was also a wine list to go with dinner!
Thereāll be none of that here Iām afraid youāre lucky to get a lemonade
Being picked up in an hour for my big day out. Thankfully my temp has been stable under 37 but Iām a bit anxious.
Hang in there Pete.
Sounds like the temperature is going in the right direction, letās hope your Grand Day Our is just thatā¦
Thatās very natural and understandable. Will Mrs Pete be with you?
No just a burly ambulance crew.
Iāve just put on my best pjs.
Hope all is going well ?
Not much I can say , but fingers crossed that the problem is identified.
Take care
Ian
Back in my room it appears any inflection is now under control and Iām probably allowed home on Thursday (to be confirmed). Just had my cannula removed and meds now by mouth only. Seems my oncologist is being overly cautious to make sure Iām in good health for my stem cell transplant in September. Any illness puts both the operation and its success at risk.
Overly cautious sounds good to me
Best wishes
Ian
PS forecast to be the hottest day of the year today. So glad to be retired and not having to travel by train and tube whilst clad in suit
Thanks Ian the local register here thinks my oncologist is a gun and that Iām lucky to have her.
Hope you get through your day, oddly enough weāre having one of our coldest day in years.
The Aussies playing The Hundred will feel right at home
Will water plants , go to farm shop and have feet up for this afternoon , and hope the ice cream man turns up
Best wishes
Ian
Ice cream has been Iāve eaten since Saturday, although I did have some wheat bix this morning.
Is the heat expected to last long?
Itās been pretty good for a few days now. Down here in the south of England there is the possibility of a few showers and thunder heading into the weekend and temperatures will drop a bit. No bad thing. Mind you Pete we have had our fair share of rain over recent months. Will they allow you to look out of the ambulance window during your journey?
Until Sunday when it is forecast to rain .
Had dehumidifier on , woke up to a cold bedroom and had to get duvet on, hence my wandering the corridors of the community at this time.
Yes Iāve already been up and back, it was a patient transport. Its odd laying down looking out the back doors, donāt know what made me sicker the cancer or travelling backwards.
Well thats a good thing that she is cautious. Have they mentioned restricting going out until the white cell count recovers?
