The Grand Cafe

Sorry that should have read you’d be better off with a proper rack. Don’t know if that’s was me or Siri.

Bob Dylan. Bringing it all back home. Earlier I was playing this incredible 1967 album and on track 10 there is an interesting line “ even the p.e.ident of the uni.t.d st.t.s sometimes has to stand naked”.
Of course this is not a pol——-l statement. It simply means that no matter who you are, no matter how powerful or rich, you will face scrutiny. I think.

Worlds going to ruins in a handbag, I can’t believe the chaos we’re all in.

Ours lives are starting to feel like lyrics on a classic Pink Floyd album.

Wish you were here?

That all depends on where you are

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell
Blue skies from pain
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

Running over the same old ground
What have we found?
The same old fears
Wish you were here

If you didn’t care what happened to me,
And I didn’t care for you,
We would zig zag our way through the boredom and pain
Occasionally glancing up through the rain.
Wondering which of the buggars to blame
And watching for pigs on the wing.

My mum taught me that lying is the worst thing to do since most evil (against another person, a group, but also against oneself) starts there.

I agree, there’s always going to people that think they’re above law we’ve seen that in past 24 hours. However I’m surprised that the number of those in England seem so high. Australians might be seen as a rowdy bunch but we are a (generally) a law bidding lot, I don’t know anyone those not complying.

I’ve had big day, cricket painting and it’s just gone past midnight and I’m off to bed. Have good day.

The Final Cut gets such bad press but The Fletcher Memorial Home is one of my favourite Floyd tracks.

Don’t crickets come already coloured? Or are you changing their colours?

I think it’s a great album.

Now Neil Young is another artist to sell his catalogue to investors it will be interesting to see how this affects the cost of streaming in the future

I think it’s important to keep things in perspective. Last Century there were 2 World Wars, the Spanish Flu and the Great Depression. Don’t let the negativity and polarisation of the media make things appear worse than they are. At the end of the day, most of us enjoy ordinary lives.

I once got in trouble for adding too many commas by the grammar police. Normally I’d put one between the 2 words.

That’s true but I don’t think everybody’s enjoying things in the northern hemisphere.

Yes Pete was wrong. I think he should have said we are all going to hell in a handcart. I don’t need the media to tell me how bad things are. I can work it out for myself

Reminds me when I was holiday in North Wales - spent a whole morning following footpath signs to
Llwybr Cyhoeddus

Never found it.

Guess what the Welsh name is for ‘public footpath’?

Edit: I was staying with a Druid at the time. He explained all when I told him that evening. O how we laughed…we then went on to Welsh expletives…a lovely time!
