Lucky escape for that pointer
Yes youāre not the first to have said that.
Are you OK.
Has anyone been watching Mr. Muskās satellites passing overhead and what do we think of them?
I think they look pretty impressive but am a little concerned at the large amount of stuff hurtling around above.
I did see a shooting star a few days ago but havenāt noticed Mr Musks toys. Where should I be looking.
You can find the best viewing times when you google Starlink tracker. I watched them at about 10.30pm with my 9 year old grandson on Friday night, It was a great experience for us to share.
Cheers theyāre not visible in our sky for at least 5 days, there are some older ones about 5am.
Iāll now keep an eye on it. Thanks for sharing.
There is plenty of space up there!
True but it does increase the chances of something hitting us
I guess anything that fell would burn up as it wouldnāt have the protection it left the ground with?
We will keep our fingers crossed.
There is a lot of concern about the visual impact, particularly for astronomers.
The ISS has been hit by bits of small space junk before. Itās also successfully steered clear of more dangerous space debris. In 2015, the station adjusted its orbit to avoid a piece of a Minotaur rocket that had launched two years before. ā¦ The @Space_Station has maneuvered 3 times in 2020 to avoid debris.
I copied the above item from some non-descript part the Inter-net.
The space station is fitted with layered shields to protect it from the impacts with small pieces of space debris and no doubt space dust and other natural debris.
Iāve just decided Iām going to propose my wife for the Nobel Prize of Peace.
She managed to get the kids to the playground.
Iām going to give Mrs Pete the opposite, weāve had grandkids here (she keeps swamping them around) since Christmas. The last go home this afternoon, I do love them them but god theyāre noisy and high maintenance bunch.
Canāt you retreat to the studio and play loud music?
No itās right beside the bedroom they like.
Count your blessings Pete.
We would love to have our grandchildren stay again. But Rules donāt allow the three who live a couple of miles away to even enter the garden, never mind stay !!
And the two in Canada ā¦ well !!!
You can only enjoy peace and quiet for so much.
Still, we do have frequent family Zoom get togethers.
So very true I do count them regularly it was tongue in cheek. Iām well aware that there are a lot of people less fortunate than us.
Our youngest kid is 4 and canāt spend all his energy during the day. He is overactive and is teasing us all. We learn a lot!
Iāve cut hairs of one of my kids today.
Quite wartime, but without bullets.
I think youāre meant to have kids when your young and have a bit more energy. Mrs Pete and I have been going to bed at the same time as them, exhausted.
I am amazed at the energy of my grand kids, what is the point when we could put all that energy to good use right about when we are loosing all ours.
