Yep not a bad idea Mike - especially if your floor is “springy”

@Richard.Dane put me onto a Nina Simone album last evening “Wild in the Wind” acoustic sounds verve series

Now I know why I continue to be hooked on TT’s/Vinyl

Thank you Richard - pretty sensational I must admit

Nina Simon is gold.

And no I won’t be adding a turntable to the build cost. It’s already blown out.

Ain’t got no vinyl ain’t got no cassette

I got a poweramp I got a Nac
I got a hicap I got a rack

Mrs Pete’s been away for a week and due home around 4pm this afternoon. That gives 8 hours to tidy up the place, I should just about manage that.

Would she notice all the upgrades or not?

I proposed this to my wife and to my surprise she agreed:

All I need is the guy from the local garage to state that our current car is beyond economic repair …

Very funny but no upgrades.

Re the BMW they’re a good car, is it a late model?

It’s likely to be an i3, but we will have to decide on the price range et cetera. Very young cars are either expensive or have high mileage and high mileage for electric cars usually indicates fast charging which is not good for batteries.

Therefore I’m more inclined to go for an older low mileage car with many options. I checked the prices for battery replacements and that’s no too bad.

Sorry I knew it was a i3 I meant to say what year. Apparently they lost money on every car they sold. They are well designed, you won’t get a Naim hi fi in it as an option though.

Phew, hope you make it.

I have a weekly miracle who has been very poorly and hospitalised for four -five weeks , she is there to clean and not tidy up . That’s my job

I’m really hoping that she will be back after Christmas

best wishes

Ian

Ian I too hope your help is better and returns soon. Funny when Mrs Pete’s away I all of a sudden realise that the things I take for granted still have to be done.

We always take a sharp knife on holiday with us.

Well, I guess that the chances of having two people with sharp knives in the same shower room are fairly low…

A somewhat exaggerated claim, I would say :innocent:

I’ve overcome that by not having showers on holiday.

Mrs DG is not totally au-fait with that strategy, however.

I’m not sure about knives in a shower

I originally watched that home alone in the 60s from behind our lounge. It was pretty scary back then.

As a kid in the 1960s, I used to watch Dr Who from behind the sofa.
