Thankyou , not sure what else to say……you capture a hifi show with a very nice oratory…….no-one gets crushed……it is as you say your opinion in-that moment❤️

Thanks for taking the time to provide such a detailed write up with supporting photos Bert: providing your thoughts of each room is no mean feat! I really enjoyed reading.

Nice report @BertBird, thank you! And nice pictures!

I’ve never been to a show like this, so it was for me a vicarious visit.

Tricky question. After seeing and hearing all those beautiful toys, if you had to change your whole system. Which electronics and speakers would you choose (excluding the brands you have of course)?

Hi Bert - that should be Mickey Hart, Temple Caves, from Planet Drum. He was one of the Grateful Dead percussionists.

Thanks again for your reports, which are fascinating.

Thank you @BertBird for all the work put in to this! It’s great to see the massive range of audio gear available that most of us wouldn’t get to see without this report! Cheers.

Thank you, Bert! It is much appreciated by those of us who rarely get a chance to go to an audio show. Reading your thread was indeed like being in your backpack. A speedy recovery to you!

Thanks @BertBird. One day I hope to make that trip to Munich. The show seems enormous and more varied than what’s on offer here in the UK. Interesting to see all the different approaches to making music.

Indeed tricky question, as it is also connected to the budget involved. So very difficult to answer…, but let me try to give some thoughts….
I wouldn’t go for the totally hifi like system or these analytical equipment as I would love to have the emotion as well. So Chord, Solution, etc would fall off.

Speaker wise I would consider - Verity Audio, Gauder Akustik, Wilson Audio, Magico and perhaps MBL and Burmeister (passive)

Electronics assuming money no objection - Naim Statement, AVM, Dan Agostino,….

Source - no immediate answer but I would most probably go for the insane DAC / Streamer Combinations: Brinkman, Weis, Wadax ……., I would need to do more research here.

I would also add Vinyl

Would also carefully consider electricity and use the products of Ansuz in combination with direct electricity connection, fuses etc… or would try out the Stromtank solution to be completely independent and clean

Of course would also consider room correction and work with the Italian Specialist I had to install my current correction, while most probably going steps further.
