The Munich “Bird” Report

Interesting to see a Solid Sounds rack made by Paul Knipe being used by Linn.

Hi Kuma,

Love the look of that early LP12.

That’s rather lovely figuring on the plinth. An interesting power switch too - I’ve never seen an early one like that.

I love the fact that you squeezed an unnecessary comma into your sentence, being the one following the capital S.

Its great to hear your impression of the show and the different products.

Many thanks for doing this.

Is that an old photocopier base?

Well i hope your operation has gone well, recuperate quickly and see you back here soon👍

Great reporting…sounds like an exhausting but pleasurable day! Cheers.

Add to Bert’s photo, this is what the Naim room audience looked like.

I must say European Hifi show is also starved of female showgoers.
The most interesting thing to me was I saw a Focal hard ware. Wonder if Naim designed it and put Focal label on it?

unfortunately a static display only at the Gryphon booth.

A bit 500-ish.

A CD player! I would have loved to hear this.

Interesting speaker terminals.

Powered by a stack of Wadax, they sounded too horny no matter where I sat.

I got up close and personal with TechDAS. I have never seen this many TechDAS in captivity.

Thanks. Nice gear, to my eyes. :+1:

The amps are solid state Avant-garde. Wadax is the source only. A bargain source.

Too civilised and polite for my taste.
I would probably loved that system with Kronos table.

The Gryphon Apex with matching Pre were running a pair of huge Kroma Speakers at the „HiFi DeLuxe“ show.
Stunning, that was.

Interesting looking amp which piqued my interest so I did quick check on the internet. Apparently this Gryphon Apex weighs more than 200 kg. I was curious to know how people could carry this thing. Apparently it has special accessories which include a metal ramp for sliding the amp down to the “landing” platform, and it requires a minimum of 2 persons to carry out the job. Impressive!
