This was not my dealer. It was another dealer who I will never go back to.
There are many things that âhold things backâ. If there is one thing Iâve learned about this hobby is that it is an important means to an end, where it is best not to get too obsessed about it. For sure swapping everything to the new classics would be good, but itâs not going to make me unhappy if I stay with what I have. If I donât hear a sizeable improvement then I wonât buy anything. Simple

Thereâs a new ND555/555PS here reduced from NZ$56,500 to $35,000 that hasnât sold. You can also have an ND555 only for $35,000. I think folk just arenât prepared to pay this sort of money now. And I expect the new 300âs will be pretty expensive here.

Thatâs a bit of a painful subject. My wife and daughter prepare that in my Mauviel pans and donât clean it up. Every single time they keep it too long on the gas and it burns.

While most of us here have a decent income in order to buy the stuff we do, there are many around with very serious income, for whom Naim components are mere trinkets. Even on here there are people with ÂŁ200,000 systems who buy a single cable that costs as much as a Naim box. There is money out there, the problem is that itâs distributed far from evenly.

I suspect fraim is being phased out is more likely. I simply donât see dedicated HiFi racks selling in big enough numbers to be interesting to a VC funded company looking to expand.
So as a business I can well imagine theyâll keep selling it, but no new developments will take place in that department, nor will it be taken into consideration when developing new kit.
