What speakers are you matching it with ?
The Funk firm do them , as do IsoAcoustics . I suspect you could revamp your Rega 3 with only the plinth remaining.
Had mine a couple of days. A big lot of fun in a little box. Impossible not to like. Assembled into a study system with āspareā components. Garrard 301 / SME IV, Aries streamer, Auralic DAC, Harbeth HL5. Photo to follow when Iāve tidied my study!
Good news for the Rega. Iām waiting now an update from Italian distributor for the arrival of Nait50 at my dealer.
Back in the mid-80s I took my Planar 3 to the Rega factory in Westcliff-on-Sea. All the work benches were a vibrant green colour. It was quite āstrikingā in the strip lights.
Please be aware I am vey good at spending other peopleās money where suggestions for audio are concerned
It looks like What Hi-Fi have got a hold of a NAIT 50 -
āWe have exclusive access to this little beauty - Let us know what youād pair the Naim Nait 50 with!ā
88 serial number so there is at least 1 demo unit.
Also has anyone actually received speaker plugs like that???
Yes I haveā¦ā¦ not using them though.
Never seen those before I use the usual SA8s be interesting for a dig into.
Thanks for sharing.
Yes & Iām using them, may as well!
Those look like the plugs that came with my 222
Received the same plugs as shown here in Canada.
Mine did
They look like Ovator plugs
Yep, mine are.
Since we have a little side thread on Planars goingā¦I will chime in to say my P6 is superbā¦I donāt know how it adds up to what it is, but it is great. Not my LP12 mind you, but itās own thing. Very direct and PRATy. I wouldnāt try to mod up personally to something similar - I would just sell/trade what you have and get one if itās in your general range. Plus you get new belt/bearing/cartridge etc.
My old P25 wasnāt even close to it.
