The new NAIT 50 Limited Edition

Mine came with the same plugs.

I couldn’t get them off quickly enough (although they were quite resistant to being prised off).

That’s the one!

They are super rare. This is the only sample for global reviews.

There’s a second unit in the Vereker showroom (big listening room at Naim HQ) and that’s where it’ll stay.

….and a third as an R&D reference unit. It will not leave.

All other units are strictly for the 1,973 limited edition.

Have a great weekend all!

Indeed!

Well it’s your baby that’s made my weekend!
Cheers Steve

My guess is that someone found a big box full of spare Ovator plugs and thought of a good way to use them up

Just to say how very, very happy I am with the Nait 50 , my fifth Naim amplifier (including Nova) and by stripping it down to basics Naim have delivered a whole lot more sound per pound

Who make that turntable?

It’s a Classic Turntable Company 301 with brass platter, SME IV, Ortofon 2M LVB, Russ Collinson plinth.

And who makes the record furniture?..… lovely setup BTW

new to these. my 50 did come with this type. whats their function?

They allow you to connect loudspeaker cable to the amplifier (they require a solder connection).

I bought it when I lived in the US. Can’t remember the name of the manufacturer. It was well over 20 years ago! There are also CD draws.

That is a very nice, minimalist system.

Another convert; I’ve joined the cult.

It sounds great! I do have a streaming source too but not using it at the moment.

Great stuff. Aria into the Nait 50? How’s it sound?

Stunning ! My R Aria connects my GAE either with Hana ML or Ortofon cadenza red to NAIT 50 with chord chorus preference ! Though connecting my GAE with MM shure 95 ED + Jico SAS to the phono MM of NAIT 50 is very impressive too

Do you roll or solder the wire to this plug
Is it possible to see one connection picture how it’s properly done
Thanks beforehand

Take the pins out and put them in a block of wood 4mm holes then solder the wire in along the recess like the picture.
Depending on what wire you have it can be easy or very tricky needing a very hot iron.
