The new NAIT 50 Limited Edition

I use this for both internet streams, radio and Amazon, Qobuz, etc, as well as my local network stores. I haven’t had any loss of files or info at all in the almost two years I have been using these. The only thing I have found is that the dac is not up to placing them in my main system. A better amplification system exposes the ‘thinness’ of the dac. It is however still my best at the price streamer/dac choice.

I think, even in the UK where fm radio is available, that the nat01 is a specialist choice. There is much more available via a streaming solution.

Thank you. I will make a start with an FM tuner and (perhaps) a CD player, but the latter could involve carting CDs around the house, which defeats the object of ease and simplicity.

Gosh, there is one of those rare transition-from-CB-to-Olive era Nait2s! Not many were made, I believe, and with its own unique styling for a Naim product!

Thanks for the extra insight Bruss - much appreciated.

I was never going to stream and resisted for years until finally giving in a few years ago. While I enjoy my CDs (which are all ripped and in my Core) I hardly play them. I now happily stream from the Core and Qobuz and wouldn’t go back. Streaming is incredibly simple and gives you access to 1000s of CDs.

Thank you. If someone can tell me what I need, I will speak not my new dealer, AudioT in Brighton (with whom I have a Nait 50 on order), and find out what box-of-tricks can be supplied.

Assuming you are happy with something like the Bluesound Node, you will need an RCA to DIN lead (RCA from output of the Node to DIN on the Nait). You will need to download the Bluesound app to your phone or tablet. This will immediately give you access to 1000s of radio stations. You will then need to go to the Tidal or Qobuz website to set up an account (most have a free trial period). Once this is done you then log into your account within the Bluesound app and you have access to all the music you could ever want.

It is not that difficult and if you get stuck someone on here will guide you through it.

A good dealer should be able to show you how streaming works, hand you the ipad and talk you through it. Once you’re used to it, it really isn’t that complicated (unless you want it to be!) and you should be able to access online streaming services or locally stored music easily.
An Innuos Zen Mini would be a good place to start.

Well, if our plot hatches out you can see and play with it here.

Than you, Chris, I will ask when the opportunity arises.

Streaming is fine @anon70766008 … you can do it
I was first also into bluesound node - might be a nice match,
But as suddenly a nd5xs2/nDAC/XPs went in spare mode

Hi,

Can you shed any light on how the Nait 50 is coming along? We’re all dyslexic no to know and no one here has the ability to have a demo as all units have been sold already!

Much appreciated….

All units sold? Really - they are offered really often in the web.
Where do you get the information from, that all are sold?

Hi Graham , do you have an iPad ?

That’s a good place to start .

If they are all sold they were sold before release down under (AUS/NZ)

And that would brass me off as I want one! I live in Wellington NZ the spiritual home of naim in the Southern Hemiphere. It would be poor form if we do not get a few nait50s down this way.
