The Vintage Planes, Trains and Automobiles Picture Show

I love to revisit this thread after a few months to see all the wonderful new photos.

Here’s a few from the Classic Car Show at the NEC this year. I was asked to display my Lambretta which was an honour.

Lovely car. I met someone on a track day who owned two, one for track days and the other cocooned as an investment, Nice chap as it happened and had bought his when released and Porsche were having trouble shifting them.

Damn I must’ve missed that.

I’ve only ever seen one on the road and that was in Valencia just after they were launched.

Went around my mates house to pick some bits up for my Lambretta and his neighbour was tinkering.

Those were the days.

Is it a working layout or are they dioramas ?

DG…

It’s a working layout. 7mm to the ft scale, approximately 15ft long and set in Kingston upon Hull, where our Group is based.

It’s first exhibition outing is latter this month in Pontefract, if anyone fancies a look.

Fantastic modelling. I noticed your top picture shows paint on the wall. My grandfather was general manager of Storry Smithson - the paint manufacturer in Hull.
