Things I’ve done in the last 24 hours, version 2.0

Really, what milk? Full fat, semi- skimmed or skimmed?

Yeah, and the sad news is that even with the brand new batteries, it is a dead as a dodo!

Ah well………….

Or not quite. The screen briefly flashed up MEMORY LOST, but then went blank.

You could send it down to The National Museum of Computing TNMOC asking if they could verify for you. I’d do it myself but I stay with the much older Tunny/Colossus machines. Happy to ask if anyone in “Large Systems Gallery” or “PC Gallery” is up for a challenge if you want.

What a shame.

Ooh! That could be interesting. Worth an ask. :+1:

I’ll ask when I go in later this week. In the meantime any additional info would be helpful. Happy for it to be a dm if you want to route it via @Richard.Dane

I understand that would be the correct procedure on here to exchange details.

Niiice. Which brand is the far left red one?

It is a pen of Indian manufacture purchased off E-bay but without any makers’ indentification.
I needed a pen for red ink. It has a medium to broad nib and fits my hand well.
I like flash acrylic casework.

Stayed in as electricians were coming to fit new power cable direct from the consumer unit to new position for the HiFi. Deconstructed the system (in need of a good dusting) to be told that the tube behind the wall is too small to get the new power cable in.

The electricians will be back Friday to chisel a channel in the wall, fit new tube and install the new sockets. I will just have to spend the time cleaning up the system and listening to Sonos radio.

I’m now hoping that the extra effort warrants the new power cable

6mm or 10mm ?

10mm Gigawatt LC Y Evo with Hagar MU 20amp breaker and Furutech wall socket.

I will need to get Mrs B out of the house Friday before that channel gets opened - it will be messy.

Parked on a broken double yellow line inadvertently. Expensive trip to the dentist as usual!:face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

This afternoon I bought a ticket for Mahagonny at English National Opera. I selected a £69 pound ticket, it appeared in my basket with an additional item which was a £42 discount, leaving the ticket price at £27. I don’t know why, but I’m very pleased.

(Now I just need to remember I’m not at home and mustn’t sing along to Alabama Song.)

Drove 170 odd miles today for a 4 night break. Walking, bird watching, eating etc.

Bought tickets to the Photo Show at the NEC in March, plus car parking and hotel! Also (as part of the trip) for an exhibition (Made in Ancient Egypt) at the Fitzwilliam in Cambridge. A busy weekend in prospect.

2 hours extra in bed yesterday afternoon as… to bed at around 3:45am post NFL. Up at 7am for an 8:07am train to Manchester. Arrived in Leicester at 1pm. Took part in 2.5 hours eye research on glare. Headed back via Sheffield astonished at how well I’d managed my eyes. Stopped off say Sheffield, met up with the offspring post lecture and went to watch a game changing football match at Bramall Lane. Offspring lives maybe 5 minutes away. Walked back into Sheffield to my hotel. Feeling it now. Off to bed.
