Lovely
You need some sheep.
What a lovely day. Two walks.
First to the clinic for more blood offerings. I think they must have a black pudding factory out back. Are you going to be difficult today?
I let her massage my arm for a minute or two. Well ……human contact is important. She told me I am now classified as mild/moderate frail.
After lunch to view the shipping at Felixstowe but nothing needed my help berthing. I do miss the revolutionary council meetings but they have passed on. We would have a lot to discuss. Probably down there in Purgatory waiting for me.
Tomorrow we will battle with car insurance premiums after a visit to the dentist as I cracked a tooth on a slice of Lidl sourdough. It will be nice to see Beate again. Too old. Outlived teeth. What to do. What to do.
Slept through my alarm. It’s claiming that it sounded for 10 minutes.
Missed my train. On the next one which gets me to my hospital appointment within the 15 minutes grace period. Just.
Willy.
Had 95% of “Rocky” removed. They left a bit in to support one side of the ureter whilst the other side recovers. Appointment in four weeks to finish the task.
Willy.
A bit of a pain, literally to have to go back……..but at least it will be sorted.![]()
Got this on home demo. Once I switched it from balanced to single ended, all was well. At 25kg, it’s manageable.
Sleep Apnea review done. In 10 minutes early and done in 30 minutes. New mask and revised settings, woohoo.
I’ve had a great day today. Out with my wife for a walk along the river from Blackfriars bridge through to Limehouse basin and then back home. The weather was beautiful. There were people walking alongside the Thames in shorts and t shirts. Others caught out by the change in weather still in woolly hats and layers, but early signs of better weather to come after all this rain?
Got home to just about intercept the nice man from DPD delivering a couple of boxes sent by those nice people who work for Mike’s brother. Both bargain purchases I couldn’t refuse! Going to set up a new system probably tomorrow.
And out later with my two lads plus their girlfriends at a new local restaurant with good reviews in the press.
What better way to celebrate a birthday?
Gone for a week to get some sunshine in Malta. Staying for the first 3 nights in the village of Xaghra on the isle of Gozo. Near the village is the Ggantija Temple from the Neolithic period - about 5600 years old
Rather amusingly there was a sign saying that the area was CCTV protected. There was historic graffiti on some of the stones and we weren’t to touch them
I hadn’t realised that there was a Stone Age band called Wham ![]()
I reckon they were from Newham but were in a rush: N’ham. Posh though, they left in the ‘h’…
Gozo is fabulous, thanks for posting the pics and reminding me of the island. A friend used to own a house there, so I visited for a couple of weeks and had a guide as well. I remember sitting outside several bars with a glass of Cisk. It has long been on my places to revisit one day.
I went to the Collect Art Fair at Somerset House (London). According to their website) it’s rhe “only annual art fair on the UK and international circuit dedicated to museum-quality contemporary craft and design.”
There are about 40 galleries showing textile, precious metal, ceramic and glass works. There were some stunning rooms and some where I really didn’t get it. (I’m sure other people loved those rooms and didn’t get some of the work I loved.) It runs to 1st March.
I’m popping back tomorrow as a glass artist whose work I love (and who is a really lovely bloke) is getting a lifetime achievement award and I’ve been invited to the presentation.
I went to the hospital for physio yesterday, quite apprehensive, as online I thought that I was way behind the expected progress. Physio was good and put me through it, gave me the intermediate and advanced exercises to do, and then discharged me. Didn’t expect that.
Well done Max, from my experience of physio that means they think you’re doing well and will continue to improve in your own. Good news I think.
Had a wander around New Mills yesterday. Had wanted to look at The Millenium Walkway for some time. Highly recommended journey into our industrial past and so much to see and ‘sense’ in the Rivers Goyt and Sett valleys.
Strong magnet?
